“Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. The rooms are extremely comfortable in the pool. Deck is very modern and beautiful. We had to catch a late flight and they were super accommodating and allowed us to stay at the hotel until 2:00 p.m. for no extra charge.”

“Great area in front of the beach especially when summer time! There are football area, bbq area (but the bbq grill didn’t work when we are there), toilet area behind the cafe (not too clean but still useable), cafe is nice with various choices of food, ice cream and milkshake. There is small pond with lot of ducks, don’t feed them bread please. We saw tracking area, maybe someday will back to try the track.”
“Great area for dogs to run around off lead. Large green field, plenty of trees for shade. BYO drnking water and doggy bags, lots of rubbish bins.”
“Find sea glass with your kids, driftwood for your new Pinterest board, or just let time stand still for a few minutes and admire Wellington on a good day.”
“Good for children in the summer time to enjoy the water and family can sit and watch children who are having a ball.”
“Really good beach that you can drive straight up to. A few tables around and a good set of clean public bathrooms. Has an outdoor shower + water fountain. The water is super warm in summer compared to other beaches in Wellington.”
“This is such a beautiful track. Should take around 2 hours. The view is so beautiful and I will do it again. Absolutely fantastic.”
“I’ve been hitting up Habit Health Majestic for three years now, and I’ve got to say—it’s been an absolute game-changer! I joined on their $30 for 30 days deal, which basically meant I was working out daily for just $1 a day. Total steal, right? This place has everything you could possibly want in a gym and more. The usual weights? Check. Cardio machines? Of course. Spin rooms and studios for classes? Yep, got those too. But the cherry on top? A stunning 33-meter saltwater lap pool on the fifth floor! Add a spa, sauna, and steam room to the mix, and you’re living the dream. The staff are the friendliest bunch—you’re not just a member here; it honestly feels like family. Whether you’re smashing out a workout or unwinding by the pool, this place just has an awesome vibe. If you’re in Wellington and looking for a gym that’s got it all, give Habit Health Majestic a go. You won’t regret it!”
“A beautiful expanse of wilderness right on our doorstep. Bush walks for most fitness levels and dog friendly. Full of historical sites. Highly recommended.”
“Awesome spot to catch a couple of phat kahawai, the odd cod, a gurnard or two, etc. Well set up, with heaps of rod holders, a bait station, and good lighting for a night fish.”

“I have been taking swimming lessons with Ben since September 2020. I was really scared of the water even though I love the beach and the idea of being able to swim. So I decided to take swimming lessons with Benoit and I am an adult swimmer. He is an excellent teacher when it comes to swimming, he listens to you and shows guidance according to your fitness, confidence and your ability. He has an efficient way of communicating and to teach swimming. I would highly recommend Ben from my experience. I can completely do all the breastroke, freestyle and backstyle now. And still taking lessons with him in order to improve and compete.”
“Love the quietness of nature and proximity of city lights. Short walk and quiet time on a bench looking at the city life....”
“Such an amazing walk to get here. The view is amazing on a good day! If it’s cold or windy, definitely take a jacket as it gets super cold up here. You can also get out of the southerly if you pop behind the shed at the top. Definitely recommend the hike to the top. Steep, exposed and rocky though!”
“Chilly, but nice coffee at the cafe.”
“The Eastern Walkway Trail is a fantastic coastal track offering stunning views of Wellington Harbour and the rugged coastline. The well-maintained path takes you through lush native bush, and there are plenty of lookout points along the way to soak in the panoramic scenery. The trail is relatively easy, making it suitable for all fitness levels, and it's a great spot for a leisurely walk or light hike. The highlight is the picturesque view of the Cook Strait and Pencarrow Head. Overall, it's a perfect escape into nature, right near the city.”
“Lovely decor, friendly bar staff. Great atmosphere”
“My child has made great progress since starting with Easyswim at Newtown. The teachers are really effective and keep the kids on task while making it fun for them. The pool is a good size for primary and intermediate age kids learning to swim, and is clean and warm. The swimming school is very professionally run and good to deal with.”
“Beautiful park, very popular and seems to be a camping hot spot.”
