    A beautiful expanse of wilderness right on our doorstep. Bush walks for most fitness levels and dog friendly. Full of historical sites. Highly recommended.

    No reception after walking towards the Dam loop. Make sure take photo of the map in the carpark area before your hike as the signs are not clear enough to guide your walk. We started our hike from the entrance where close to the publuc toilets. The First 15mins is steeped. Overall, this is a easy walk in Wellington.

    Good number of park slots for a day trip walk. I also see people rating the walk... isn't it "Belmont Regional CARPARK" the name? Anyway... the walk is fine, certainly don't want to oversell it as others... the dam is nothing of special to be honest, and there are not great views or something. The highlight is the walk next to the stream, at least you are in a place with scenario, not just in the bushes. Recommended if you go with small kids or dogs.

    Stunning walk. Pretty sheltered from wind. Bit of a climb back to carpark but doesn’t take long at all. Water nice and clear

    What an absolutely amazing and beautiful place to walk. Our young family and fur baby loved it. We did the 1 hour loop through the korokoro dam. Car park area has a nice spot to sit down and have lunch along with public toilets. We will be back again soon.
