   The Eastern Walkway Trail is a fantastic coastal track offering stunning views of Wellington Harbour and the rugged coastline. The well-maintained path takes you through lush native bush, and there are plenty of lookout points along the way to soak in the panoramic scenery. The trail is relatively easy, making it suitable for all fitness levels, and it's a great spot for a leisurely walk or light hike. The highlight is the picturesque view of the Cook Strait and Pencarrow Head. Overall, it's a perfect escape into nature, right near the city.

   It is a rrally nice walk and the Ataturk memorial park is very special. Make sure you dress according to the weather because it is pretty windy.

   This part of the walkway runs from Ataturk park (take the small path to your right towards the top if you've come up from the beach rather than the bitumen road) - or can be accessed from a cul-de-sac to the left off Bowes Cres if you've come from Strathmore ; and winds down to Breaker Bay. Bit steep in parts but steps cut where needed.
