“Awesome watching my moko play netball”
“A wonderful family park for outdoor for sports and picnics . A bit damp under foot in the winter but excellent in the summer ☀️”
“A nice little city park with quiet walking tracks, plenty of up and down hill. The view area above the water tank is a fantastic new addition and a great viewpoint.”
“It's a huge outdoor playground with an older kids area, younger kid locked and fenced area, and an accessible toilet. The facilities are well maintained and all functional. The toilet and the playground are clean and tidy. There's ample free off street parking right at the entrance of the park.”
“The ground is in the best state ever for Rugby.”
“Great park for a family picnic. So close to children's playground, toilets and swimming pool”
“Sat down with my boyfriend there to relax and journal + read and was so peaceful and quiet :)”
“Ki o Rahi tournament. Wainuiomata is just the best place in New Zealand!!”
“Perfecto. Staff were awesome. Some noise inside by inconsiderate guests arriving late at night but no noise from outside at all. Location perfect, we flew at 6am. Have stayed probably 4 or 5 x now and have already rebooked for my next trip.”
“Great for adults too - Georgia is a fantastic coach.”
“Had a great time and met lots of other nice dog owners z Be aware though that there are no gates to this area. Would be a great improvement to make it secure so dogs don’t run into children’s play area, the car park…?”
“Lots of different activities for kids”
“Great community, very diverse bunch. Have lots of laughter.”
“Beautiful time lifeguard was a flirt”
“Short & not too steep walk from the Khandallah pool. Park bench to sit, take in the views & say things like "gee that's a nice looking place" & "wow I wish I lived there!"”
“Great dog walking spot. Big carpark opposite Bunnings. It's usually busy if the weather is nice. BYO balls or just pick up a stick for your dog. Plenty of large bits of driftwood along the way for having a seat and taking a break. Bags are usually available and rubbish bins are in several places. My favourite place to take my dog.”
“Ngati Tama/ Elbow Park, a great place to walk dogs, ride bikes or access the river.”
“Wouldn't recommend swimming with eel food strapped to you. Saw one the size of a fricken tree trunk, the size that makes you say... that's a fricken tree trunk. But it wasn't. Having said that, great spot and friendly eels.”
“Nice trail, leads up to Moki and Pikarere and the water treatment plant if you have the energy”
“Awesome! Ideal for retreating and having quality time with friends and family. Been here on an early autumn weekend and was lovely. Photography enthusiasts can experiment with the colours of the leaves, and also the Hutt River flowing nearby.”
