“Kilbirnie Park is a versatile and well-maintained green space in Wellington, perfect for both recreational activities and community events. The park boasts spacious fields that cater to a wide range of sports, including rugby, soccer, and cricket. These fields are regularly used by local clubs, schools, and casual players, making it a hub for sports enthusiasts of all ages. The park also includes an athletics track, which is ideal for runners and athletes looking to train. One of the standout features of Kilbirnie Park is its family-friendly environment. There’s a well-equipped playground that’s perfect for younger children, offering a safe and fun space for them to play. The park’s wide-open spaces also make it a great spot for picnics or leisurely walks. It’s dog-friendly, so many locals enjoy taking their pets for a stroll. The park’s location is very convenient, being close to Kilbirnie’s shopping area, bus routes, and other amenities. The nearby Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre is an added bonus for those looking to swim or relax after some outdoor activity. While the park is generally well-maintained, the fields can become a bit muddy during the rainy season. Overall, Kilbirnie Park is a fantastic community asset, offering something for everyone—whether you're there for sports, family time, or simply enjoying the outdoors.”

“Lanes was a great spot for a quick bowling session and some drinks! We had some free time before heading to the airport, so we stopped by for a game of bowling—some of us grabbed drinks too. It was a great time! The place has a cool vibe, with retro games adding to the fun. The bowling lanes also have a unique touch with blue lighting, which gives it a different feel compared to most bowling alleys. The staff were awesome as well. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you have some time to kill and enjoy some retro games!”

“Patrina went above and beyond, I'm in debt for how awesome her and staff were! Daughter 6 years old bday asked for toy called Furreal Friends Snackin' Sam The Bronto, and she was super helpful in agreeing to help, while I arranged a courier to be shipped for Auckland. I really appreciate her help in making my daughter's day. And she provided the toy at a discounted rate, which was a nice unexpected bonus. Highly recommended, thanks! :D”

“Spent a while in here looking for options to cover the floor in the garage to convert to a home gym. Plenty of options were presented with pro's and cons. Range of pricing also discussed when discussing options fit for purpose. The staff member who served me was interested in helping come up with a solution. Easy access and parking, I went in early Saturday morning.”

“Review Title: A Quirky and Colorful Masterpiece in the Heart of Wellington If you ever find yourself wandering the vibrant streets of Te Aro, Wellington, let your feet lead you to the iconic Bucket Fountain on Cuba Street. A whimsical concoction of moving art, color, and the playful dance of water, this unique fountain is more than just a landmark; it's an experience. The Bucket Fountain, with its quirky design and unpredictable water flow, captures the heart of Wellington's creative spirit. The arrangement of colorful buckets, tipping and spilling water in unexpected ways, creates a delightful spectacle that enthralls both young and old. It’s not merely about the visual amusement but the anticipation of where the water will splash next, making each visit a new adventure. Located in the bustling Cuba Street, this fountain adds an element of joy to the already lively atmosphere. The surrounding area is a melting pot of culture, offering an array of cafes, shops, street art, and performances, which all contribute to the infectious energy of the locale. Yet, amidst all this, the Bucket Fountain stands out as a focal point of communal happiness and an embodiment of the city’s quirky charm. Visiting the Bucket Fountain has become a sort of rite of passage for tourists and a beloved oddity for locals. It’s a place where you can see laughter erupting spontaneously, and where memories are made in the splash zone. Watching children trying to predict the next move of the buckets, or adults capturing the perfect photo, you realize that this fountain is not just an object, but a participant in the daily life of Wellington. What’s more, the Bucket Fountain serves as a colorful backdrop to the ever-changing street scenes of Cuba Street, reflecting both the sunlight and the vibrant energy of its surroundings. Whether bathed in the golden hues of sunset or drenched in the neon glow of streetlights, it remains a captivating sight. In sum, the Bucket Fountain is not merely a fountain but a living, splashing embodiment of joy and unpredictability. Its charm lies in its ability to surprise, delight, and bring people together in shared moments of whimsy. A visit to Wellington would be incomplete without experiencing the playful magic of the Bucket Fountain. It’s a testament to the city’s love for creativity and an unmissable spectacle that earns a well-deserved five stars.”

“New World is very close to my house and the best place to go shopping to. It has food for years, has food for anything you’re looking to get. They have a good service, very easy shopping with the staff and clearly marked aisles. They have kind chatty staff and the staff can easily help you find what you’re looking for. They never run out of stock, so if what you’re looking for isn’t there, ask staff to get it. New World is definitely one of the greatest shopping markets in NZ.”
