“Looked after our school group really well. They were awesome, very professional and fun, and the kids (and staff who joined in) loved it. Would definitely come back.”
“Awesome bike track for kids. Open for public after-school hours.”
“The Island Bay Marine Education Centre, also known as "The Bait House", is an interactive marine experience based in Island Bay on Wellington's south coast. As well as there being lots of different sea creatures on display (including a couple of octupuses, sea horses, crayfish, turtles, a grumpy blue cod to name a few) you can also handle starfish, sea cucumbers, sea anemones, crabs and other sea life found un the touch pools. There is far more inside than you would expect from the outside and the volunteers whi wirk there are very friendly and helpful. It is really reasonably priced ($5 for adults, $2 per child) and we were all entertained for ages. Really good fun and educational too. Definitely worth checking out with the family.”
“New playground installed with Flying Fox, eels in the river, nature walk & train Station”
“We found this hidden gem by accident. The food was incredibly good and the ingredients were clearly fresh. Wow”
“We ordered Tom Yum Soup and Panang Curry with Rotis for dinner. The Tom Yum soup was delicious, great portion and done to perfection. I found the Panand curry too creamy for my liking, may be that's how it is prepared, the taste was good. Rotis and Satay sauce was very good too. Service was good. The new place on Cuba is lovely. The fan wasn't working so it was a bit smokey but the food made up for it! Overall we loved their food and definitely recommend if you like Thai food.”
“Best Indian restaurant in wellington. Very warm welcoming staff. I ordered MALAI KOFTA with naan and is very delicious. Whenever I come to wellington from Paraparaumu I alaways prefer to have my lunch in curry heaven restaurant . I recommend to everyone to go to this restaurant. Thanks for delicious food.”
“Excellent food and an excellent night. Kate creates a great atmosphere and she and her staff did a fine job handling our various food preferences. We didn't want to leave!”

“The Events Centre is a brand new development with the latest audio visual equipment for conferencing and events. The spaces has all new amenities, facilities and class leading infrastructure to support any size of event up to a maximum of 1200 delegates (static audience).”
“The scene is amazing and its such a pleasurable walk or bike ride. If you want to go to the lighthouse just be mindful that its a good 1.5 hour trek but its well worth it. There are no public toilets along the way either so make sure you do your business before you leave.”
“One of the dudes I was hiking with left his phone at the top and only realised once we were about to reach the car lol. Fortunately it was found by a kind soul who gave it back. The hike itself was great and there was a nice picnic area great for enjoying some cheeky snacks. I had some Sichuanese style noodles. There are also great views of the bay from the top area of the hike. Would recommend!”
“A great restaurant, excellent food and great atmosphere. Remember to take your own alcohol as it’s a byo. Overall great value and would definitely visit again”
“Very generous portions, delicious, and top class service. Really nice experience. Plenty of space between tables too and very reasonable pricing.”
“Beautiful beach, good for walking or swimming. Just make sure to check the tide level as sometimes it gets very high”
“This is a fantastic playground, nestled within the botanic Gardens. Not only is there great equipment for children of a range of ages (a number of slides, flying fox, monkey bars, swings and other climbing equipment), there is plenty of shade, tables, and bathrooms! It really ticks all the boxes.”
“A sweet and welcoming venue. "The Heiress" was a world class performance! Loved our night at the Gryphon.”
“Found this spot on a gorgeous day in New Zealand, waiting for one of my daughter's to get in at the Wellington Airport. I got more than I expected, pulling off into the provided parking area. Very peaceful but your not totally alone, many came & went while I was there. A nice find for a waiting place. You can watch planes come in or go out.”
“Saturday lunchtime was an awesome quiet chill vibe for us to have a Japanese Meetup event. Karaage Tofu Poke bowl was delicious! And one of the servers was vegan so she helped with some recommendations. Tried the Umeshu Plum wine tasting platter and it was oishiiiiii desu! Worth a visit anytime for lunch or dinner during the week, weekend. Highly recommended.”

“Really, really good chicken Katsu at a reasonable price! Probably more suited for takeaway than eating in which is good. I ate in but it's not a restaurant.”
“Excellent gardens in spring: rhododendrons daffodil s & blossom trees. Sheltered. Playground, parking all there. Easily reached off SH2. Tennis courts and large playing fields plus River walk picnic tables and BBQ. Sept. 18”
“Despite the looks is a very clean nice place, the menu do not exceed the 20 nzd and the service is veery kind an polite. I order a burguer was all meat, chicken very Juicy and of quality I was surprised to be a honest. I think will eat more here. Very affordable but is mostly sandwiches and burgers. Oh and breakfast. Coffee looks very well done. The burguer was 12nzd and you can add for 7 nzd the can and the chips. I think I enter one time and just didn't though much for the looks so I tho hmm may be not. But now that I actually eat here all looks lovely and fresh. Looks like a very vintage Cafe. I'm very happy to give this place an opportunity.”
