   Its sad if the barber can't do a certain cut they never just say so, got a skin fade from the older barber there and it was so bad I had to go and get it fixed at another shop. Got charged only $30 as I was visibly disappointed. If you just want a normal haircut this place is fine but don't go asking for fades.

   First time here for my 14 year old son's haircut. He has curly hair and was looking for a fade and a trim. Clearly, the barber has never cut curly hair before as he frizzed it up and cut it! The fade wasn't great either. We won't be back.

   I have definitely found my new go-to barbershop. Best barbershop in Karori hands down. You can’t beat the level of service.They give phenomenal cuts and I can’t recommend this shop enough.

   Ever since Hawkar stopped cutting hair here the quality has dropped horribly. My son came in for a haircut and the lady who cut his hair didn’t give him the fade he asked for and instead gave him a no1 on one side of his head and an attempted fade on the other. The worst part was when my husband went back to ask her to fix it up she had an attitude and blamed my son for not being clear and that he asked for that cut…ah no he didn’t don’t blame my child for your inability to do a fade just say you can’t do fades and he would have left. Never ever again! We now go to Dali at the House of Handsome in Kilbernie he knows how to do fades, haircuts and importantly..speak to a 13 year old boy. Clearly the lady here at Koru needs a few lessons in how to communicate. Such a shame this barber shop used to be so good when Hawkar was cutting.

   Got an amazing cut from Dimar, as usual! I also asked him to trim my beard (which had gotten a little out of hand) and he made it look better than I’ve ever seen it before! Honestly, I was blown away with how quickly and precisely did it. Cheri has also given me some great tips on how to maintain and manage my curly hair. Ever since then my hair always looks 100 times better!

   Great haircuts, ok service. Sometimes they open late, or early - you'll never know, it seems. Not very good communication or banter - so you have to work hard to get a good cut (which you can do). In summary, if you work at it you'll get a better than average cut at very good prices, but it's hard to feel relaxed and known...even as a semi regular at a village barber.
