   Thanks to Kate, our amazing tourguide, we spent a wonderful day at several original Lord of the Rings movie sets around Wellington. As you maybe know, most of these sets are „back to normal“ and you can’t always see the similarities to the movies at first sight. With the explanation of Kate, who has a very profound knowledge of the movies and of many funny stories around it, your imagination will take you back to Isengart, the Anduin, to Rivendell and maybe also to Minas Tirith and Helms Klamm. We would definitely recommend this tour for a very entertaining and relaxing 4 hours (and make sure to ask Kate about her own experience in „Middleearth“)!

   This tour is every LOTR fan dream come true. It was better than I expected! Ted is awesome tour guide! He makes sure you do not have a boring moment! You get to visit many locations where some of the great scenes where filmed. And those places are beautiful. Travelling to another location you can see scenes involving that location, behind the scenes and making of footage from the vans screen. Lunch was good and filled our bellies well. Recreating some of the LOTR scenes was great fun. There are even props that you can use. Ted's devotion and passion towards making these tours makes them unique! Probably best tour we have had. And we had many in NZ. Weta workshop tour was also very interesting. I would suggest taking the combo tour (10~6) with the Weta tour. Thanks for the great day! Or like we say in Finland: Kiitos paljon! (thank you very much!)

   The tour was incredible! Our tour guide, Ted, was sincerely kind and wanted each person there to get the best out of their experience. You visit multiple locations where some creative props are provided to recreate iconic scenes, and Ted even helped to design and recreate the Rivendell arch after it was originally torn down! Would definitely recommend the full day tour as you get to see some great locations and a pleasant lunch by Rivendell is provided - it was a wonderful overall experience, and I would say well worth your money if you have a day in Wellington.
