“The only way it could have been better was if the river magically became longer and if they take notice of a minor safety observation. On our scheduled day the river level was too high to raft but we lucked out and were able to move our schedule around and still make it work two days later. our trip started with the water levels at the highest level allowed. It was intense very quick and it stayed that way. Our guides were great. The Safety briefings to the point and brief. Rafts in great shape. Gear is great although i did see a broken paddle blade in use on our raft which makes that paddle a bit more deadly. We flipped the landing on the large waterfall and then somehow i ended up with the broken paddle which i felt better about as now the dangerous paddle was in my control. It is Memorable. A must do. Their photo team did a great job too. We purchased our pics!”

“Today we experienced trekking with Huntaway Farms. We had the best days riding with a fantastic guide. The farm was beautiful and trail through the native bush was just amazing. There’s a horse for all abilities and they have lovely natures. Would highly recommend a visit to this place if you’re looking to take your kids or a group of girlfriends for a days trekking.”

“The kanu glow worm tour at night was amazing! Our tour guides Derek and Joe made it so enjoyable. They were fun to talk to and informative. Joe was very knowledgeable and shared with us so many scientific facts and the Māori story on glowworms. Highly recommend a must do! Also the McLaren falls park is very underrated and a definite good stopover for a night to camp”

“We recently completed the Lake Waikaremoana Discovery Tour. I feel Walking Legends have planned this trip well as we had a variety of very manageable walks in different enviroments/lakes/bush. Our guide Dylan was so well organised, professional, knowledgable, respectful and fun. The food was outstanding and accomodation clean, warm and comfortable. “We had the most amazing experience on this seafari, apparently we got super lucky because we ended up spitting 4 different dolphin pods. Didn’t get to swim with the dolphins since all the pods had juveniles, but still it was amazing to just enjoy them from the boat and learn all about them from the crew.”

“Lots of information about kawerau and new Zealand here. Clean toilets to use while waiting for your bus. Plenty of merchandise to purchase and there is plenty of benches to wait on while the bus arrives. You could stop here for a breather if doing long trips too as they have picnic table to enjoy your lunch on along with bathrooms.”

“Services are great! I use the school runs that Uzabus provide most days (After school obviously) and the drivers are very nice people, and the vibe is generally pretty chill, for the most part. I've also gotta tip my hat to the people who maintain the buses, because I've seen multiple buses in Uzabus' fleet that are very old, have over 1M km's on the odometer (I know of one with about 2.5M km on the odometer), or are one of a kind in the country. Good people, and probably very good mechanics.”

“We used Shore Trips and Tours to book 3 tours - 1 in Dunedin, 1 in Akaroa, and 1 in Tauranga (with an actual ST&T employee). We had no issues with an of our tours, instructions and contact info was clear and we had good communication with them in the months leading up to these tours. The tour that was actually through them was for Rotorua and Hobbiton in Tauranga and was great! Our guide (Mark?) Gave us some info as we went from place to place, made sure we stayed fed and on time, and got us back to our ship with time to spare! Will use to book tours again if we are in NZ again!”
