   The kayak glowworm tour was amazing! It’s a gorgeous setting that you literally glide through on your kayak on your way to see the glow worms; once you get in the canyon to see the glow worms, it’s fascinating and beautiful to see them alight. Ewan, Joe and Jack were fantastic guides who regaled us with Māori stories about the land and the glow worms, along with the science behind why they glow. I highly recommend this tour to anyone vacationing in the Tauranga area!

   We had the best time! Getting to show family from Germany, what our Tauranga backyard looks like, the Canoe glow worms tour was amazing!! Was so lucky with the sunset too, Wholesome team, shout out to Olly and Imke! Our guides, especially Imke, she’s the best. Loved the commentary, jokes and the poem about the glow worms haha.. would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

   The kanu glow worm tour at night was amazing! Our tour guides Derek and Joe made it so enjoyable. They were fun to talk to and informative. Joe was very knowledgeable and shared with us so many scientific facts and the Māori story on glowworms. Highly recommend a must do! Also the McLaren falls park is very underrated and a definite good stopover for a night to camp

   Henry was our guide for the kayak tour to the hot spring pools and the glow worm cave. Chef too! We were a group of 4 including Henry so it was a personal experience filled with knowledge and fun. We enjoyed the entire 4 hr plus event making our way back and forth across the lake listening to him explain local culture. The cave is fascinating to say the least and the pools are refreshing. The owners are wonderful and you’ll get to meet Ash the Rottweiler! 10 stars!

   The sunset kayak tour was truly on of the most unique experiences of our lives! The kayaking itself is very easy. Once you arrive in the canyon, it’s already dark out and you just get to glide through the water and enjoy all the little twinkling glow worms along the walls. We went on a clear night and looking up at the stars was also a highlight. Our guides Royce and David made the trip smooth and enjoyable. Would highly recommend, even to locals!

   Lovely tour guide Chris, so friendly and knowledgeable. Kayak was chill and easy. The scenery... is honestly breathtaking especially when you see the glowworms! There was some yummy kai and mulled wine at the beginning too!

   Did the glow worm kayak. Lovely trip down the river, glow worms were impressive. Would have preferred a longer time in the kayak, quite a lot of time taken up bussing there and back from the main centre.

   Great family tour on a canoe. The tour guides were clear and helpful. My 6 year old daughter really enjoyed it. They supplied life jackets and some fleece jackets. They also offered mosquito repellent. The lake was gorgeous and watching the sunset as we paddled back was breathtaking. The glow worms were so fascinating and beautiful to see. There is one tour guide at each end of the canoe. They took turns walking about the glow worms. It was difficult to hear the other tour guide at the end of the canoe because we were sitting near the front of the canoe. The people sitting near the back of the canoe told me it was difficult to hear the guide tour at the front. One of the tour guides kept telling dads jokes, it was entertaining.
