You can buy small bags of bird feed and we saw lots of adorable chicks. The cafe is great and we enjoyed THE BEST Devonshire tea I’ve ever had in New Zealand. All staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we went to the cafe and I chose the salmon quiche- which turned out to be a bacon quiche. There was no salmon in the quiche at all, just the one piece on the top. So our dogs enjoyed a treat, while I got a bad taste in my mouth about the Cafe there.”

“Services are great! I use the school runs that Uzabus provide most days (After school obviously) and the drivers are very nice people, and the vibe is generally pretty chill, for the most part. I've also gotta tip my hat to the people who maintain the buses, because I've seen multiple buses in Uzabus' fleet that are very old, have over 1M km's on the odometer (I know of one with about 2.5M km on the odometer), or are one of a kind in the country. Good people, and probably very good mechanics.”

“On the day of our visit, the weather wasn’t really on our side – but it turned out not to be a problem at all. Marnie, with his great energy, explained everything clearly and concisely before we set off on the walk. We actually ended up spending about half an hour longer than estimated, simply because we enjoyed it so much. Along the way, we spotted many black teals and swans, as well as cormorants and other interesting birds. The path also takes you through a beautiful redwood forest, which made the experience even more special. I understand it may not be for everyone, but I believe anyone who appreciates nature will find the entrance fee well worth it.”

This small center is wonderful as all the children interact with each other and there are no separate rooms for different aged kids. There is always nutritional morning tea given and as a parent I feel like I able to speak freely about anything at drop off or pick up. Super friendly staff that all know what they are doing. If you are looking for the best center in Katikati this is it but act fast as they have a wait list!”

“We used Shore Trips and Tours to book 3 tours - 1 in Dunedin, 1 in Akaroa, and 1 in Tauranga (with an actual ST&T employee). We had no issues with an of our tours, instructions and contact info was clear and we had good communication with them in the months leading up to these tours. The tour that was actually through them was for Rotorua and Hobbiton in Tauranga and was great! Our guide (Mark?) Gave us some info as we went from place to place, made sure we stayed fed and on time, and got us back to our ship with time to spare! Will use to book tours again if we are in NZ again!”

“In the 25 years I've lived in New Zealand, I've never experienced hotel service like yesterday. When I requested a room change because the room was a little uncomfortable, the hotel manager was happy to accommodate me. They replaced our room and also split the single bad and adjusted it to the twin bed. All the staff were friendly, the staff serving breakfast in the restaurant were very friendly, and the food was delicious. Also, when I slept at the hotel last night, it was so comfortable and quiet. Thank you to all the hotel staff.”
