   Here for Sunday lunch. Super filling and yummy seafood chowder! Generous amount of mussels were found inside the soup. I love the ciabatta bread that comes with it as well, it complimented it beautifully. I really enjoyed my meal, will be back to try other things in the menu! Also, the staff taking my order was very helpful with my questions about parking as well. Thank you ☺️

   We had a 85th birthday lunch at The Phoenix Tauranga on Sunday for 19 people. From the moment we entered we were welcomed by the staff. The table and bar service were fantastic and we felt very well looked after. The 85 year old birthday girl felt very special. All commented that the food was also great!    Food was amazing, decorations were fantastic, loved the curly fries, waiters were friendly and patient. Only reason service was 4 stars and not 5 was because of how busy they were. Would highly recommend coming on a Friday night for the cheeper pizzas which are delicious.

   Just Wow. The restaurant was quiet for a Monday afternoon, and we had no booking when a large group of us turned up. They were very accommodating with turning on heat and closing doors. We were constantly asked if we needed drinks and if everything was okay. Outstanding service. Excellent gluten-free options also, which was a bonus with 3 of us being gluten-free. Photo is gluten-free 5 spice chicken and the cheeseboard, which was also gluten-free. Highly recommend.

   Food was OK, I had the steak which was cooked well. Everyone at our table was happy with their order. The service was painfully slow and we could never seem to get the staffs attention. The place was clean and we all left feeling full.
