Absolutely delightful place. All the people were charming. Went btw Christmas and New year so a lot shut but what was open made it very worthwhile. Intend to return. Dog friendly and great place to wander around
Massive improvement since I last visited the village. Excellent cafes, restaurant, artists galore, clothes, crystals, tatoo artists, records! (Vinyl) Jam Factory (music) and much more, forget shopping centre's, come here!
What a cool place to visit. I don't know how I didn't know about this place sooner. Cool shops, few art galleries if that's your thing and some places to eat. The cafe we had brunch at was delicious and not badly priced either. Loved how a few of the place are MΔori owned too
The place itself is fantastic! A cute little village vibe to wander and engage with local artists and businesses. Unfortunately we went to the cafe and I chose the salmon quiche- which turned out to be a bacon quiche. There was no salmon in the quiche at all, just the one piece on the top. So our dogs enjoyed a treat, while I got a bad taste in my mouth about the Cafe there.
I appreciate the beauty and aesthetics of the historical village. Truely stunning. Drove all the way down to Tauranga from Hamilton to see this. It was worth it.
Such a cute vintage village! It felt like going back in town. There's a cafe with honestly the most aesthetic and appetising cabinet food and amazing coffee, a cinema, lots of fashion stores, a tattoo parlour and even pottert studio!
Great place to visit before 3pm, a cafe over there is lovely, many art galleries & shops are to be seen. Doggy friendly, children friendly, wheelchair friendly.
I had my doubts about this place since it's so small and unassuming on paper, but in reality, it's super cute and a great little diversion. True, there isn't a lot here at this moment, but there's enough to occupy 1-2 hours of your time. Highly recommend the crystal shop, record shop and having a look at the galleries if open.
Loved wandering around this place. Was a great place to catch up with friends... lots to see and interesting too.
