“Had an amazing stay in one of the two bedroom apartments this weekend! The facilities are awesome! Shower pressure is great! Washing machine and dryer and dishwasher provided! The pool and spa were such a treat. The place was quiet and even though there were no other vacancies, we didn’t pass a single person on the foyer or corridors. The beds are super comfy and the aircon was lovely as it was muggy over the weekend. A massive thanks to Toni for organising our last minute stay and adding our niece on last minute. She gave us extra bedding for the couch bed and added a small fee. Toni was an amazing host and we felt well taken care of - being from out of town. She was extremely welcoming to us and we cannot wait to come back! We will be back! ♥️♥️”
“We had the most amazing experience on this seafari, apparently we got super lucky because we ended up spitting 4 different dolphin pods. Didn’t get to swim with the dolphins since all the pods had juveniles, but still it was amazing to just enjoy them from the boat and learn all about them from the crew.”
“After four weeks in New Zealand the most well-kept place ever. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests. everything was kept clean and tidy. 5 stars plus. complete calm. a great pool. the beach can be reached in three minutes on foot. and it's crazy. The name “cozy corner” fits it perfectly.”
“Lovely hiking trails through farmland. It’s not the most gorgeous walk, but it’s very pleasant. The ocean views and views of pastoral land are just gorgeous.”
“Gorgeous clean waterfront playground with lots of varied things for the kids (and grown ups) to play on. Musical instruments. Slides and swings. Sandpit with digger. Agility course. Covered areas when it’s hot.”
“Tauranga local, happened upon this reserve when my son was playing football at Waipuna - very cool, short walk to waterfall.”

“A Fun Spot for a Swim! If you're looking for a great place to cool off, Poripori Water Holes is the spot! Nestled in the Bay of Plenty, it's a fantastic swimming hole surrounded by lush bush and cool rock formations. Here’s how to get there and what to expect. Getting There Getting to Poripori Water Holes is pretty straightforward: Park: Find a spot in the gravel area along Poripori Road. Cross the River: You’ll need to hop across the Wairoa River. It's good to wear some shoes. Follow the Path: Look for a narrow path that leads you through some rocks and bush. There is also a path through the forrest. A bit hard to find when you go there. Easier when you go back. Head Left: Once you’re through, take a left to find the water holes. What to Expect Swimming Fun There are several swimming holes with different depths, so it’s great for everyone—kids and adults alike! The water is nice and refreshing, perfect for those hot days. You can lounge on the rocks or even try some jumps if you're feeling adventurous! Safety First Before you go, check out Trustpower's website for water release schedules. They have a siren that goes off before they release water from McLaren Falls Dam. Be aware that the water levels can change quickly, so always keep an eye out for any warning signs. It’s best to visit when the water is calm. Tips for Your Visit Bring some snacks and drinks to enjoy while you’re there. There are no toilets, so plan accordingly! Make sure you keep an eye on kids, as some parts can be tricky with rocks. Overall, Poripori Water Holes is a fun and relaxing place to spend a day. Just remember to stay safe and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!”
“Ducks. Who doesn't love ducks. Oh and eels. Heck yeah eels and ducks. Bring bread. Or cooked rice if youre worried about the effects of bread on ducks. Bread is better then nothing though, dont believe the hype. Bread wont actually hurt the ducks its just not as healthy. Hope you enjoyed this review on ducks. Watch out for the angry goose. He's mad at the other goose. Maybe the other goose stole his girlfriend. I dont know. I dont speak Canadian. Hope this helps”
“Nice park down by the sea. Has modern toilets, a playground and a small boat ramp (only any good when tide is in). Also has picnic tables and a a security camera for public safety presumably. Nice place to sit and eat fish n chips. Gate gets closed in the evenings. The shutting time depends on the season.”
“Great spacious area for recreation, boating or just relaxing close to cafe's etc”
“Great place to freecamp next to the water. Toilets are only 1min walking distance. Bbq and drinking water available.”
“Gorgeous place to stop for a.late lunch on the way home from appointments in Tauranga. Refreshing sea air does one the world of good.”
“I enjoy this walk. This part of the walk is the bushier part - I start at Daisy Hardwick and carry on through to the Boardwalk and on to the Don Stewart Walk. Paths are easy and wide enough for cyclists to pass by you comfortably. The different scenery - the water, the bush, the boardwalk, the marshes, all keep your eyes interested. Interesting information boards along the way too.”
“Good equipment, well designed. Zip line is great fun. Nice seating for parents. Coffee shop just a short walk away.”
“A delightful free camping spot with the rolling surf beach out of one window and the lovely estuary out the other”
“This is a beautiful walk for the family. Really easy and the waterfalls is stunning after rain. You can get right up to it and there are no deep pools in front so great for kids. The entrance is not the one with the large sign and parks in front but is across the oval on the left (facing the oval). There is a timber sign.”
“When open the views and map and compass is awesome to look and reference to that you can view from the top of hill. It's awesome! Caution as it's a popular hookup sight”
“WOW view from this awesome spot. Priceless.”
“Awesome place. Mini Golf, Train rides. The mini golf is affordable compared to others I have been to or looked at. Big playground and field to play on. A fountain. A nice place to hang out”
“I stopped there and I must admit, there was a very good vibe and I really enjoyed talking with the young owner, so I highly recommend”
“Customer service is brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. Thanks for your assistance, received goods super fast. Excellent .”
“What a great campground! The pool and facilities are beautiful, well maintained and clean. I wasn't sure what to expect after the previous review but I was actually amazed with how nice and clean everything was and the bush behind makes it so tranquil! Lots of cool details including the swimwear dryer in the ladies changing room. Definitely keen to come back again!”
“Having moved gyms when I moved to this area, I was really impressed with the friendliness of the staff and also the patrons. There are so many classes to join, many different areas of the gym in which you feel comfortable with and a great friendly atmosphere. It is more expensive than other gyms, but I think it's worth it if you make use of the classes, gym and the pool area. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. The only thing I would like is 24 hr access by a tag...not to the pool area but to the main gym as 7pm at weekends and 9.30pm is hard if you do shift work”
Talisman Hotel & Restaurant keeps things simple, bistro‑style and focused on flavour. Portions are generous yet well judged. The room sits relaxed with an easy buzz. Service stays present without fuss.
“Absolutely stunning, loved the whole Hells Gate area”
“Very beautiful lake view cottages, very nice resort. It has a hot spa, pool, chess, gym, and provides cycle/bikes also. Very cozy, clean and nice rooms, with all the facilities. The rooms are also very spacious. Very calm and ambient place. Definitely recommend by me if you are coming to Rotorua. It is 100% worth the price. It is idealistic first day if you are for even at night in Rotorua. The cottages a the lake front have very great views with a common, huge and open backyard. The cottage in which we stayed had included a well equipped kitchen and dining table. There was also an electric fireplace. At night, the views in backyard were very MAJESTIC and photogenic. Overall, the places of great value and a perfect place for a calm, quiet and peaceful weekend/holiday/stay.”
“Absolutely amazing!! I loved the guided walk and learned so much about Māori culture!! However, the only thing that made this trip worth it was our tour guide, Ngati (NA • tsi). He was so kind and knowledgeable. He even knew the Māori cultural meaning of every object. He also walked us through the Māori prayers for safety before and after the walk. If the New Zealand weather catches you by surprise, don’t worry, because Ngati will hand you anything he has to help.Strongly recommend requesting him for your Hell’s Gate guided walk.”
“We loved this park so well set up now Playground, toilet, BBQ and small amount of parking but parking available”
