“We started planning our trip for a 3.5 week trip to NZ 14 months ago and when we were looking for a provider for self-drive cars we found out GreatDays NZ Tours and Mr Schmiedel. Even at this early stage, GreatDays was able to make us an offer that was quickly updated over the next few weeks according to our wishes. Extensive online documents were available, which were very helpful during the trip together with Google Maps - one click on the link and you knew where to go. There were no problems on the entire trip. All hosts were fully and well informed about us. We were already expected everywhere and welcomed with friendly words. The booked transfers (pick-ups and ferry) and everything related to the rental car also went smoothly - from the handover to us in Auckland to the return at the airport in Christchurch. An unforgettable experience that deserves 6 stars.”

“What excellent service Dave and the team gave us when we did this cycle ride. We did the trail in 3 days and it is at times its not for the faint hearted. On the last day due to atrocious weather overnight Dave suggested using eBikes for the last and roughest part of the trail at no extra cost... They were a god send. A brilliant, brilliant trip with a truely remarkable company. I highly recommend them, all the equipment is top notch and they have a great deal of experience. The trail itself is amazing and well worth the effort. We saw wild pigs and piglets, goats and deer and about a million rabbits... but unfortunately didn't see the wild horses.”
