   Stunning & Unique Seaside Stroll! On our recent visit to Napier’s Seafront, my husband and I were absolutely mesmerized by its beauty—especially the striking black pebble beach! I had never seen a pebble beach before, let alone one with such a dramatic, inky hue. It’s a sight that feels both rugged and serene at the same time. Walking along the shoreline and the well-maintained footpath was a delight, with the sound of waves crashing against the pebbles creating a peaceful, rhythmic backdrop. The whole area has a wonderful charm, making it the perfect spot for a scenic stroll and a moment to just breathe in the ocean air. If you’re in Napier, this waterfront is an absolute must-visit—uniquely beautiful and truly unforgettable!

   The black beach with the stones was really unique. We had a lot of fun here with the kids. It was completely different to a pristine beach with white sand - but it was still really beautiful.

   Excellent! Been both during the day and in the evening. Probably the closest you can get to the French riviera in New Zealand. I did not like Art Deco, but I am gradually starting to appreciate it. Driving on the parade at night seems something out of 70s or 80s movies, so definitely great for nostalgics.

   I quite liked walking along the path along the water. The walkway runs parallel to Marine Parade but it was more fun walking between the grass and water. The beach is also nice to wak on but it's a stone beach so footing could get a bit slippery. It is a nice place to stroll or ride your bike around.

   The marine parade is a lovely place to walk in Napier, however extreme caution must be taken near the water. You should not walk close to the water's edge here as rogue waves come up and due to the drop off there is no way out of the water.
