“If you are considering doing Ballet as an adult, this is honestly the place to do it! They have so many different options for classes and I was so happy to find a studio that has the option of structured syllabus-style learning. The teachers are wonderful and make sure they know their students well so they can help progress them in a way that is unique to each individual. The community is very friendly and welcoming too. One of my favourite parts about dancing here is the annual show! We actually get to perform on a stage in a theatre with costumes and everything! It's optional of course, and we spend months preparing. Any one from any level is able to participate in it and it's an incredible journey to be apart of, and it's a time when the whole community is able to get together and support each other as it's no easy task, but one that is very rewarding in my opinion. All in all, I often find myself counting down the days until my next class. Cannot recommend DFLA enough!”

“After visiting many centres, including some way closer to home, I can fully vouch for New Shoots Greenhithe. Everything is welcoming there: the teachers, the staff and the space. It is open, peaceful, full of light and surrounded by nature. I felt very supported on the early weeks where everything was new. Now, after 6 months, I can confidently say that NSGH was the best decision we could have made. I am amazed to see how my daughter is thriving, learning new things everyday, having fun no matter the weather outside. “I dance at the studio three days a week, and it's perfect for improving my dance skills, as well as keeping up my fitness level. Jo and Rodney are very experienced teachers who have every qualification and have helped me pass two medal exams so far with distinction. Their studio offers a wide range of dance styles, including tango, waltz, latin, rock and roll, and lindy hop.”

“The Chrome Academy is the most inclusive and supportive studio I have ever been a part of. It is a welcoming haven that I look forward to visiting every week. With aerial hoop, hammock, pole, barre, yoga and a range of other classes on offer all under one roof, it’s impossible not to find a class that meets everyone’s needs or interests. All under one roof, which is extremely hard to find, particularly so close to home. The instructors are amazing in all areas and are always happy to share their knowledge and help you along your aerial journey. I highly recommend a visit!”

“Just had my first class (beginner 1 static pole) with Louise! Absolutely amazing. Great teaching, positive and helpful advice, very easy to talk to, feels extremely welcoming of people of any gender (I’m a guy) and body capabilities and size. All of the staff I interacted with were soooo friendly and helpful, very good if this is something potentially out of your comfort zone. Unfortunately I’m about to leave Wellington but if I wasn’t I would absolutely keep going. Would highly recommend!!!”

“I have been taking swimming lessons with Ben since September 2020. I was really scared of the water even though I love the beach and the idea of being able to swim. So I decided to take swimming lessons with Benoit and I am an adult swimmer. He is an excellent teacher when it comes to swimming, he listens to you and shows guidance according to your fitness, confidence and your ability. He has an efficient way of communicating and to teach swimming. I would highly recommend Ben from my experience. I can completely do all the breastroke, freestyle and backstyle now. And still taking lessons with him in order to improve and compete.”

Every day is filled with meaningful learning, fun exploration, and aroha. The outdoor area is stunning, the routines are calm and supportive, and the whānau feel is real. I'm so grateful for everything Rānui Kindy has done for Maiden. She's thriving — and I honestly believe the foundation she’s getting here will set her up for life.
