“If you are coming to Napier, the Art Deco Masonic Hotel is the perfect place to stay. The rooms are clean, fun, and comfortable. We originally only had a booking for 2 days but loved Napier and the hotel so much we booked an extra 2 days at the hotel. Victor at reception, and all the hotel’s staff, are very kind and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location, everything is walkable from it, and you’re right in the middle of downtown art deco center. When we return to Napier we will be staying at the Art Deco Masonic again!”
“A short 15 min easy walk from the car park. A MUST VISIT place in Napier. Truly amazing place”
Kilim Cafe Napier runs with a coffee-and-cabinet menu and a relaxed feel. Service moves quickly through the morning rush. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Good value shows in the serve sizes.
“This was the best meal I've had at a restaurant in ages. Attentive and friendly service, pleasant surroundings. The food was fantastic, great value for the money. We enjoyed the gnocchi with oyster and lions mane mushrooms, as well as the perfectly cooked tarakihi fillet with asparagus, shredded fennel, wilted greens and salsa verde. A good wine list and beautiful Little City kombucha completed our meal. We will be back next time we're in this part of the country.”
“We did a beer tasting and cider for the non beer drinkers. They are good on the gluten free drinks but I didn't eat. I was told the hot chips were pretty good. The others all got flights of beer, 5 beers form the tasting. I thoroughly enjoyed my cider and ginger beer but the alcoholic ginger beer unfortunately had gluten. We will be going back.”

“5 stars! Food is very delicious. Always fresh and hot. Never had a bad meal here. Best curry around. The staff are really amazing too. Our go to for Indian food all the time”
“Great store they have all your needs. Friendly service”
“Dropped in for the $10 lunch. It was simple, but very tasty and exceptional value - rice, omelet, choice of a vegetable dish. Really good value for money. I don't know many places where you can feed yourself for $10 for lunch. Cute interior design. Lots of space for groups of all sizes and people dining alone. A bunch of people turned up after us, so looks popular. The menu looks great, will come back another time to try it.”
“We had such a wonderful time at Catfe Mao! The staff are incredibly nice and took the time to tell us the stories behind each cat—you can really tell how much they care for these animals. The place is spotlessly clean, peaceful, and the cats are just adorable. My kids and I were so happy here. Also, a quick shoutout to their milk tea—it’s absolutely delicious! Highly recommend for cat lovers and families.”
“This is the best pizza I've had in a long time.. "delicious," "fresh," "flavorful," "cooked to perfection," and "great service".. I m really impressed with the quality of the ingredients.”
“They had gluten free vegan pancakes which is a big deal and they are AMAZING”
“Best wine tasting I've been to - the staff is incredibly knowledgable and I learned a ton! Not to mention their wines taste great. I can't compare this winery to any of the others on Waiheke as it was the only one we were able to go to after our flight was cancelled, causing a delayed start to our day. The manager, Rory, was incredibly understanding with our potential lateness. Staff was attentive during our time with them, food was delicious, beautiful scenery. Will definitely return if we're able to make it back to Waiheke someday! Also they have a very cute winery dog :)”
“Raw fish on toast was to die for! Fish was fresh, lovely flavour and the bread wasn’t too hard to cut through! Iced latte (not pictured) was also delicious. Excited to try this little spot the next time I’m in Auckland.”
“Had the big brekkie and my partner had the eggs on toast. Both were absolutely delicious. The baked beans that came with the big brekkie were particularly phenomenal. Matcha Latte here was great too. Great service, fast and all staff were very friendly. Also great pricing. Will definitely be back. My new brunch spot for sure!”
“The ramen is always amazing here @ Zero. Great atmosphere and service. The Chicken Karage super crispy and juicy. Truly amazing. Give it a try whenever you're around Albany or Brown's Bay.”
“One of the absolute best restaurants in Auckland serving kebabs. Owners obviously very passionate about hospitality & make the establishment a very nice place to visit to enjoy a meal. Their food is delicious, presented beautifully, made from beautiful fresh ingredients. A asset to the surrounding area. Highly recommended!:)”
“Tasty Kebab on Stoddard Road Mt Roskill was very good! It was not your traditional doner kebab but the way the mixed kebab was created with the addition of mint chilli sauce was great - nice flavours especially the pleasant chilli taste! Reasonably priced and filling.”
“Popped into this very sweet cafe very early in the morning! There are plenty of manly regulars popping in and out and I can see why! They have a solid menu and good vibes.”
“Cambodian Takeaways in Avondale is a very good takeaway! I brought a cheeseburger, hot chips and potato fritters - all-round good food! The cheeseburger was good but it was light on cheese and came with beetroot and carrots which I'm not used to in a burger! But it was still nice to eat, and the chips and fritters were good too! Friendly service and atmosphere could have been better though. I'll be back!”
“Tikka n Talk was close to our hotel and we walked here expecting to get some lamb dishes. While talking with Ishan, he highly recommended the chicken tikka with naan and a chicken biryani if we wanted a rice dish. We also got a mango and rose lassi. He described the dishes so deliciously we had to get it! It was the best chicken tikka I’ve ever had in my life and Im saying that growing up in the San Francisco bay where theres a large amount of indian restaurants. Definitely ask for Ishans recommendation when you stop by!”
