Capizzi Pizzeria runs with a pizza‑first menu and an easy pace. Grill work shows a clean sear and rested meats. Takeaway travels well and holds its crunch. Portions are generous yet well judged. There’s always a considered veg choice.

Grabbed dinner here since the kids wanted pizza for dinner. It was ok. The pizzas are 12 inch thin crust wood fired pizzas. I prefer soft doughy crust not crunchy. I got the shrimp marinara pizza, pulled pork, and Hawaiian pizza. I’m not sure if there are better pizza options in Rotorua or not, but I thought the pizza was pretty mediocre. Everything else was fine, it’s a small restaurant.

If you're looking for good affordable pizza in Rotorua come here! It might not look that impressive from the street, but it's really nice on the inside. The guy who runs it is very friendly and provided us with great service. The pizzas were phenomenal and absolutely worth the money!

Overall, we enjoyed the meal, it was good value for money, we just wish the service was a bit better and the items were more accurately listed! Service - Impatient for an empty restaurant on a Friday night. Server asked us if we were ready to order, when we said no, he came back almost immediately after walking to the front and back! Then when we weren’t ready, he told us because we were taking so long, we would have to come to the front to order. Food: Appetizer is listed as focaccia on the menu - it was pizza crust, not focaccia. Still tasty, but not as advertised/listed. Also, the item is listed with tomato bruschetta, but we had to ask for it after the server did not bring it out initially. Pizza - Reasonably priced and decent. Tasty and good sized as pictured. I would describe the pizza less as authentic Neapolitan and more as a Kiwi interpretation of a New York pizza restaurant - as listed in their website β€œabout us” section. Not necessarily a negative! It was still good pizza!

Absolutely great find. Gluten free pizza was amazing and they took allergies seriously, by informing us they would clean down first and they cooked it differently. Always best to check for coeliac safety if you're not sure but I was pleasantly surprised. It was one of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had (I had the Hawaiian)

I ordered myself the four cheese pizza, wich came with mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan & Feta. I really liked the dough. It was thin and partially crispy, just as you would expect an italian pizza dough to look and taste like. However the sauce was spread to thin for my liking, there were just two chunks of Feta on my Pizza & the Parmesan I couldn't really taste. The sauce by itself was good, it was just not enough on the dough. The man serving me was very friendly though. And there were a lot of gluten free, vegetarian & vegan options. All in all a good pizza (6.5/10), but definitely room to improve.

This was definitely the number one spot as a tourist. The pizza was very well crafted and the gelato felt like a taste from home. The owner was great and very welcoming too. Would recommend!

Heard the pizza was good so I tried it out. Definitely didn’t disappoint. Pizza was amazing. Hot and fresh. Great service, and had a great chat with guy serving me and the owner of the dairy a couple doors down. All round great place to visit. Cheers brothers

We ordered pizzas and caesar salad and had it delivered to work (local law firm) and it was OUTSTANDING!!!! Everything was delicious, with the perfect amount of toppings etc... Super highly recommend this place to either eat in, or takeaway, or have delivered. Amazing every time!!!! The vegan pizza with grilled eggplant is my personal favourite.

What a great little restaurant hidden away from the main street. You have to head to the back of the restaurant to really get a feel of the vibe. The men working the restaurant were friendly, welcoming, and checked on us multiple times to make sure everything tasted good. The restaurant really feels authentic and the music and setting were great. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread which was AMAZING and 2 pizzas. The Meat Feast and a build your own. All food was perfect and delicious. The pizzas are pretty big so we took some leftovers home in a box. They had a drink menu with alchocol, wine, soda/coke products, and also bottled water. Tap water is free. Additional notes.. restrooms on site. Accepted credit cards .

So happy we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant during our stay in Rotorua last year. It easily became the dining highlight of our trip and we promised we'd eat in anytime we found ourselves in, or traveling through, Rotorua. The bruschetta could have us coming back on it's own, but the excellent stone/wood fired pizza just seals the deal. The restaurant has a classic small family owned feel and the dine in service just solidifies that. I'm looking forward to our next visit. I'd love see an expanded restaurant menu in the future, some Italian pasta dishes would be *chefs kiss"
