   We had such a wonderful time at Catfe Mao! The staff are incredibly nice and took the time to tell us the stories behind each cat—you can really tell how much they care for these animals. The place is spotlessly clean, peaceful, and the cats are just adorable. My kids and I were so happy here. Also, a quick shoutout to their milk tea—it’s absolutely delicious! Highly recommend for cat lovers and families.

   I adopted a Persian named Jubi whom the cafe had little information on. I was concerned with his appearance as I have had multiple of the breed and felt awful leaving him at the cafe. The two years he has supposedly been at the cafe they did not find any information on him, within a week I knew who his breeder was, who bought him, his family history etc. I was advised he would be receiving a comprehensive vet check done prior to his adoption. To clarify a comprehensive vet check includes: The vet has advised all she did was a vaccination and a physical check. I was advised he would have a comprehensive check done prior to me adopting him. This was reiterated multiple times by the manager. A comprehensive check includes: • Total nose-to-tail check-up • Urine test • Blood test – screening of major organs for diseases • Check for lumps & bumps • Weight assessment • Joint assessment my • Dental assessment All I have received is a physical check up done in June, and that a vaccination occurred. This is not comprehensive. His last bloods were done in 2023 by his previous owners. The neutering and microchipping was also done previously before he was taken into the care of the cafe, but I was charged $200 to “adopt” him. I was happy to pay this on the basis a comprehensive vet check was done. I requested this report the day I took him home (Tuesday) with no response. This morning I wake up and he is unwell, less than 48 hours after I have taken him home. I’ve attempted to contact the cafe multiple times and have received nothing, I called the vet he went to and she confirmed no comprehensive testing was done. She only saw him once - though he has been with the cafe for two years apparently. The vet clinic - Broadway vets and the cafe are owned by the same person which is easily found on the companies register. You’ve essentially charged someone $200 for a cat you had not taken care of at all, he was sent home with a bag of litter that he had to have a photo taken with as clearly this was gifted to the company. I’m outraged at what is going on and the lack of response from you. I’d written another review in response due to the length of it, I’d like to advise that Jubi has greatly improved. I’ve attached photos of Jubi at the cafe - the first four are of him under your care. The other 3 are him with me, where he has his own room, with everything he needs, a hammock to look out the window and a pet camera on at all times to keep an eye on him if I have to pop out. He’s in desperate need for a groom around his face, which is being done on Tuesday. Your comments are implying I’m not taking care of him, when I clearly do. I cared enough to figure out his breeder, to get his family history, to find out if he had been tested for CKD. I did this within two weeks of meeting him and taking him home to where he will be loved unconditionally. I had planned to keep you all updated with him, but your refusal to respond to me at all and then demanding him back claiming I had breached the adoption agreement by not feeding him correctly - which is a complete lie has obviously changed that arrangement. This isn’t the first negative review you have received, clearly you have issues you need to address. This could have been handled differently completely.

   They recommend booking online to secure your spot. Also only 2 cat treat packets per hour so would recommend booking so the cats come to you for treats. Also was a bit messy and smelly inside, lots of cat hair, definitely needed cleaning. Been to cat cafes in other countries and they were much cleaner/no smell... Overall was nice, the 1 hr admission for $25 included free drink up to $8. Staff were nice. Cats of course cute!

   This cat cafe has a good atmosphere. It’s very quiet and peaceful and the cats are clearly very happy and well fed. The cats are as cute as ever and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend a visit to Catfe Mao to everyone who loves cats

   Maybe it should be called a Cat Playground... If you like to pat cats, play with cats, or just be amongst cats, then that's the place to go... Be prepared to come out covered in catxs fur... It's not a cafe, even though the ticket comes with a drink, but the coffee was so burnt that it's almost undrinkable...

   Really fun experience. Place was really clean and tidy and lots of toys/activities for the cats. Cats really gorgeous and obviously well cared for. Like that there were lots of high cat trees etc if the cats wanted to get away/not be petted. Thank you!

   The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, and the cats were adorable. It was such a treat to be able to pet and play with them while enjoying my drink. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the cats, and it was clear that they take great care of them. I would highly recommend this cat cafe to any cat lover looking for a unique and enjoyable experience.
