   Plateau Bar + Eatery absolutely delivers on both flavour and presentation. Every dish on the table was beautifully plated and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The meats were cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and full of flavour paired with rich sauces and fresh herbs that elevated every bite. The sides were just as impressive, from the crispy golden fries topped with cheese and herbs to the perfectly balanced accompaniments that rounded out the meal. Everything looked inviting and tasted even better, making it ideal for sharing and sampling a bit of everything. Add to that the relaxed outdoor setting, great drinks, and a vibe perfect for a long, enjoyable meal with friends, and you’ve got a winning combination. Plateau Bar + Eatery is a must-visit for anyone who loves well-executed food and a great dining atmosphere. Highly recommended!

   We visited Plateau on Saturday night in a large group of 18. I have only amazing things to say. The food was Devine, the service impeccable. The wait staff were friendly and the food came out all at once and every order was placed correctly. Amazing would definitely go again when back in Taupo. Recommend for anyone.

   The special thing about this restaurant is the concept. You have to order a few plates you can share with the people on your table. This way you can get a taste of everything. We loved the food so much, so many different tastes and combinations of spices! So good! The service staff were super friendly and one of the fastest waiters/waitresses I have ever seen. We weren‘t even sitting down completely and they already brought us water and gave us recommendations. I would definitely come back. (Special recommendation: NZ Green Lipped Mussels)

   We first dined at this beautiful restaurant in Feb and we amazed at the food and service. We came back 2 months later and the amazing waitress Barbara remembered our names and what we had ordered 2 months ago. We don't see service like this in NZ these days. We ordered the smaller plates as we wanted to try out their range of food and it was great. Particularly loved the Cerviche. Would recommend this place and would go back again.

   Wonderful food and service. We went for my mother in laws 60th and they really made an effort to make it special. A small plate and a large plate are ample food for one person, or you could do a selection of small plates and share. The chicken dumplings in a chilli oil were delicious! I found my slow cooked beef rib to be a bit too salty for my taste, but the lamb shanks were spectacular, and everyone at our table had a lovely meal. Well worthile a visit if you're in the area.

   I looked online for a decent restaurant and was delighted to have dined here. There were decent vegan options for my partner (not always easy to find good vegan food) and the desserts were absolutely fantastic. My fish dish was good and I loved that the dish included clams. Although I did find the pickled veg overpowering. I would happily return.

   We couldn't fault this delightful restaurant. From the booking process to the farewell it was simply an excellent experience. Tables are spread nicely so you don't feel like you are dining with others. Our waitress was excellent, friendly and informative. The menu has a great variety to surely suit all tastes. The meals beautifully presented, and the flavours simply adventurous. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this excellent establishment and we certainly look forward to our next visit.
