“I have now visited this restaurant twice with my husband and both times, food and service has been excellent. The Platter dishes are extremely tasty. Don't rely on google maps to locate Spice Village - for some reason it directs you behind the restaurant. The restaurant is on High Street. Great restaurant and highly recommend”
“Excellent Lahm Bi Ajeen. Wonderful flavors. Highly recommended!”
“I would like to order a chicken bowl please. Service is amazing I will take care of this sweet hearted sushi lady when she gets old. I will ensure that she gets everything she wants. I would die for this sushi shop AMAZING FOOD AMAZING QUALITY! I hate subway Silverdale very bad food compare to this. I remember having a whiff of the sushi sent me straight to Japan. “Ordered the laska. Thick and creamy, good portion size. Very simple taste that could use some more complexity, but it was cheap and the shop is probably the best out of the given selection on the floor. Great service too. Would recommend.”
“Had a great experience overall! The food was absolutely excellent—every course was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The crew was warm and attentive, and the ambience was really cool and inviting. A special shoutout to the bartender—absolutely amazing! The only downside was the wait time. Our three-course meal took over two hours, which felt a bit too long. That said, the quality and vibe made it worth the wait. Would still recommend, especially if you're not in a rush.”
“Our daughter just had her wedding service and dinner here, and it was absolutely fantastic. Gillian was fabulous to work with, easy to get gold of and very accommodating throughout various meetings held in preparation. The waiting staff on the night were wonderful- so friendly and cheerful. Our meal was amazing. We loved the room we hired- it was the perfect size for our party of 30, and mingling out on the deck while the couple were off for wedding photos was lovely. We truly loved our time so much- couldn't fault anything. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. Ps I couldn't comment on the noise level and reservation as they weren't really applicable as we weren't in the main restaurant.”
“I’ve had two great experiences here! They’ve gone above and beyond to ensure that guests with allergies or restrictions feel not only accommodated, but welcomed. So incredibly kind and friendly! Allergens are clearly noted on the menu and they went out of their way to let me know what precautions they take to minimize the chance of CC. The food was incredible, and I’m glad I went with their recommendations. The note on the menu re: customizing tasting and set menu options to your dietary restrictions was really nice to see. I’m celiac and felt very understood when I noted a severe allergy.”
“Great wide range of Nepalese food, including Indian favourites. The service was even better. We ended up staying there for ages because of the great vibes, and the is ocean right outside. Highly recommended.”
“Best sandwiches in Wellington and it’s not even close. It must be said the bread does a lot of heavy lifting in terms of making these Sammie’s what they are. Certainly no slouches on the filling either. Frequent menu rotation makes it easy to keep coming back for more. Good boy? That’s an understatement!!”
“One of the absolute best burger joints in town. With an all vegan menu, their food is the pick if the crop when it comes to eating out. Never have I been disappointed by the food I've got. On top of that the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere of the venue is top notch. Whether you're vegan or not, this is a foodie spot everyone should make the time to visit.”
“A hidden gem, the pizza was amazing. The bases were soft and fluffy. They only accept cash, you can take your own drinks, they have a few basics available. They were also selling freshly squeezed apple juice. Highly recommend. Don't forget to pre-order the bases very early in the week.”
“I first visited this heart warming spot a year ago to celebrate my little brother's bday. Since then every mention of Vietnamese food has had me thinking about the exquisite crispy pork summer rolls, the most delectable Watermelon long island cocktail and the Pho - the Pho actually deserves its own 5 star review to be truthful, its succulent, amazingly flavorful, and its amazing flavour profile makes it feel like its good for your soul. When my brother offered to fly me down again this year for his birthday, one thing was on my mind PhoViet. And it was truly worth the wait. Walking in you often get greeted by Alex, the owner who makes you feel so welcomed and like your part of the family there. Remembers the orders of his regulars, and ensures you are always well fed. Alex greeted us and remembered me even after a year and ensured myself and my little brother had an amazing time eating truly fantastic food and enjoying amazing drinks. Big thank you to Alex and his team. I will be thinking about those summer rolls and those Watermelon long islands until I managed to get back to wellington to visit again.”
“Wow wow wow. A truly transcendent dining experience, Ortega Fish Shack is a shining exemplar of culinary excellence, rivaling our beloved Chef's Table. Every aspect of our visit was nothing short of extraordinary. The service was impeccable, the food sublime. The oysters were a revelation, the steak cooked to perfection. Honestly, it's a testament to the power of exceptional cuisine to uplift and inspire.”
“Had some really delicious Japanese food today! It’s not strictly traditional. It’s more of a Japanese fusion style and everything was super tasty. The atmosphere was great and the service was fantastic.”
