“First time here for dinner, my family are locals & I wanted to tag along, great atmosphere, excellent customer service & friendly staff, thanks Moe for signing me up as a member ($5) & for giving me the details (very informative), I definitely enjoyed dinner, pork chop combo with egg, salad & chips, the other orders were the hamburger & chips, fish & chips, dessert was nice too, cheap prices & humble food, I will be returning back very soon, thanks again!”

“Really nice cooked breakfast. It took a little while to arrive but that was because it was cooked from scratch with care and attention. The quality of the food and ingredients was really good. The place itself is pretty bare and basic, but also spotlessly clean. The owner was happy for me to move a table outside next time I go so I can bring my dog along. I went to the Columbus Cafe up the road the weekend before and was really disappointed with a similar breakfast. If your looking for a nice breakfast and good coffee from a friendly host go here. Especially go here over Columbus.”

“14 years in business is a testament to their quality. Delicious snapper plate chips cooked perfectly crispy shell soft inside had snapper crumbed and deep fried the eggs sunny side up phoned ahead before pick up definitely best fish and chips in NZ and I’m very fussy”

“I came to PHC after receiving numerous recommendations. We tried their OG burger and Chicken on waffles, and i gotta say, it was simply amazing! The food was filled with flavour, that you could taste in every bite. They also have spice levels depending on your tolerance. For the burger, I tried their most severe spice level - 'Holy Cluck'. Wheww!, it was super spicy but really delicious. Next time, I would go one step down on the spice level so i can better enjoy the taste. We ordered the Chicken on Waffles in the 'Hot' variant, which was perfect. You could enjoy the fried chicken with the right amount of spice. It also came with a special sauce on the side which was sweet & spicy at the same time. For dessert we got the Peach and Blackberry Cobbler. I have never had a cobbler before , so I wanted to try it. The dish was hot and came with vanilla ice cream. The crust was superb and overall great if you enjoy cobblers. Personally, I'll be trying a new desert next time. I'll definitely be visiting again. :)”

“I’m so glad not many people know about this place, the Pablo burger was freaking delicious especially the crunchy melted mushroom cheese mixed with the juicy Angus beef, bacon.and fresh salad. The fries were coated with crunchiness and the Biscoff banoffee milkshake wasn’t a shake it was an amazing thick liquid dessert. Fantastic service by Eddie and the team.”

“Russian bakery!! Honey cake is blowing my mind…. Light and not as sweet as I thought… Pistachio cake is the one you have to try!! It’s basically dacquoise with crunchy pistachios instead of almond, cream filling.… I have tried chicken liver pie, it also delicious. Nice combination with liver and veg, well seasoned. In general everything is above my expectations. I will definitely come back soon for other choices of pie!!”

“Went here for a Christmas party. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to be helpful. Food was Christmas dinner and who doesn't love Cooked Ham, Roast Beef with all the trimmings. There was veges and salad. Dessert was just as good. The room was festive and well laid out as th not feel squashed. Highly recommend this venue for functions.”

“Father’s Day 2025 celebration was had here, the place was bustling with diners enjoying themselves with food and drinks served by wonderful wait staff, prices are reasonable and quantity is satisfying as is the presentation and taste. Came here for my partners birthday at lunch time very quiet and Food was delicious had kufta and lamb kebab with bread and wow the garlic sauce that came with the kebab was amazing never had anything like it! Bread was great meat was so succulent. The kufta sauce was delicious and the meatballs were succulent and I wish I could have eaten it all but I was so full! Thank you for this amazing food”

It takes a lot of time for me to acquire a new language but I do a lot of self study too, like reading books, watching videos, listening to music. It is good to attend a school when you can be among other people who learn the same language.”

Sadly not much business going on. i would like to suggest trying to hand out vouchers to nearby neighbourhood and put a sign side way on top of the door. when driving pass, couldn't really see this is a pizza place. other than that, i would recommend to others. “Great wee spot, I have been coming since they opened. Rebecca is a sweetheart and makes super coffee.. she's super kind and friendly. You can park right at the door and dogs are welcome. Mix of traditional brunch options lunch, great pies quality ingredients.. they used to do the food at The Fridge in Kingsland. Laksa superb Nasi Goreng... on point Satay and roti great... I have tried most of their Malaysian stuff.. and i am back regularly. I bought home a great carrot cake today. They do very nice salads and counter food... and a slap up english breakfast and eggs Benedict. You can see they have super reviews... and are highly regarded by Auckland foodies in the know.”

“Excellent service and food. Meals came out quite quickly. The big breakfast had generous portions. Their hash browns are probably the highlight of the experience. The oats were wholesome and vegan options available for those who require it. The menu is limited but excellent. Coffee goes down just as well as the food. The freshly squeezed apple juice is perfectly balanced. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone after a fussy breakfast.”
