   I went with my partner because we were wanting to try lowbrows food for so long. We saw peoples TikTok food reviews and the food looked bomb. Was extremely dissatisfying & disappointing. The food was not good and definitely not worth the prices. I barely ate any of the food I ordered, my partner though ate most of his due to not wanting to waste money but I just couldn’t. Not trynna be harsh, just honest. The service was average aswell.

   Lowbrow in Ellerslie is a great little spot with an easy going vibe. The food comes out fresh, the flavours hit straight away, and the team behind the counter keep things friendly and relaxed. Service is quick without feeling rushed, and the whole place has a fun energy that makes it an easy choice for a casual bite. A solid stop if you want good comfort food done well.

   Amazing place, if you haven’t been here then you are missing out. The service is impeccable and the food was a 12 out of 10. The wings were amazing and the Thaiger Prawn burger was beyond amazing. The flavours, the bun (softer than your pillow) is 100% true. They do $2 wings on Thursdays and that was banging. Their jug of Lowbrow lager was just perfect. We will be back for more that’s for sure.

   Amazing comfort food with bold flavours! We tried a variety of items and were seriously impressed. The slow-cooked beef brisket burger was a standout — juicy, tender, and served with a rich gravy perfect for dipping. It took the flavour to the next level! The Old Bae chicken thigh burger and OG Chicken Sando (featuring free-range chicken thigh) were both crispy, juicy, and packed with seasoning. If you’re into bold, punchy flavours, these won’t disappoint. The MacDaddy burger — stacked with a beef brisket patty — was indulgent and satisfying The loaded brisket curly fries were next-level good. Cheesy, meaty, and full of texture — a must-order side. We also got the wings sharing basket, and wow — we didn’t expect the wings to be that big! They came out steaming hot, straight from the deep fryer. Definitely let them cool while you dig into your burgers first! Service was great — the staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to help. Highly recommend for a casual feast that hits all the right spots!

   Went to Lowbrow for dinner with the family and we were seriously impressed. They’ve got something for everyone - a gluten free menu (which made me so happy), a regular menu and even a proper kids menu. The food was delicious, the vibe was great, and there wasn’t a single complaint from our crew. Will definitely be back!

   A Delicious and Enjoyable Experience at LOWBROW Ellerslie My partner and I recently decided to try LOWBROW in Ellerslie for dinner after coming across numerous positive reviews on Google. We visited on a Saturday around 5pm and were not disappointed. This trendy and modern eatery, which also has a branch at Karangahape Road, prides itself on providing "Good Food" paired with natural wine. The restaurant is suitable for families and has a welcoming and chilled vibe, making it a great choice for a casual dining experience. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a friendly welcome and informed that we could sit anywhere we liked. The staff member was helpful throughout our visit, although we noticed they seemed a bit understaffed initially. This led to a slight delay in service, but the situation improved when another staff member arrived. The staff member was apologetic for any inconvenience caused. We ordered a Sando each: the OLD BAE Sando for myself and the Bronco Sando for my partner, accompanied by the Kumara Salad and Loaded Curly Fries. The food was delicious and met our expectations in terms of taste and quality. The OLD BAE Sando featured cornflake chicken thigh, Swiss cheese, old bay mayo, and pickled courgette, while the Bronco Sando was made with a brisket patty, onion rings, pickles, cheddar, and house BBQ sauce. We enjoyed every bite and are looking forward to trying other Sandos in the future. The ambiance at LOWBROW was light and inviting, with a cool and funky interior design. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and we felt the prices were reasonable for the quality of food served. They have a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; I opted for a zero-alcohol beer since I wasn't drinking. You can book a table online, and their operating hours are as follows: Ellerslie: Sun-Thu: 11:30am-9pm Fri & Sat: 11:30am-10pm St Kevins Arcade: Sun-Thu: 12pm-9pm Fri & Sat: 12pm-10pm Overall, our dining experience at LOWBROW was enjoyable, and we would definitely go back. I would recommend this restaurant to others looking for a tasty and relaxed meal in a welcoming atmosphere. I'm giving LOWBROW Ellerslie a well-deserved 4-star rating.

   Great food and atmosphere Not a lot of vegetarian mains but the eggplant parm burger was delicious, as was the kumara salad. I’d probably skip birthday cake sundae next time, just two tiny pieces of cake and some ice cream, wasn’t that special. We visited about 3.30pm on a Saturday, before going to the rugby. Wasn’t too busy, service was quick and staff were lovely :)

   You must try the wings here. They are amazing. Super juicy, tender meat with crispy flavorful skin. Best wings I've had in my life. I also got the Kumara salad as a side to pretend I am healthy. The salad was actually pretty good. Did not taste like a salad so 10/10 recommend.
