“Always a favourite!! Usually the family's go-to for takeout but on special occasions we dine in. The young guy server is fantastic. He's friendly, chatty, and explains the meals in knowledgeable depth. The meals themselves are great, I don't think our family has ever had a meal they didn't like here. I also highly recommend the mango lassi - it's criminal if you don't get one. :)”
“Ordered the chilli scram and it was really good! The spring onions and chillis were a great addition, and added depth and flavour to the dish. The scrambled eggs themselves were velvety and delicious, and the sourdough underneath was buttered and toasted to perfection. The rest of the table seemed to really enjoy their meals as well! The atmosphere here is lively but not too loud, so none of us struggled to have conversations and hear one another. Overall, a great experience and we'll be back :)”
“Just ate at the cafe. Wood fired pizza was excellent, enjoyed a Greek Salad. A nice place to spend the evening, and have a drink after a day of hiking. A beautiful waterfall at the bottom of the drive. Would definitely pop round again!”
“Yummy pizza friendly staff. We had a drink while we waited for our Pizza (takeaway) and the staff bought us out some completely fries. It was a really nice touch. Good food good service will definitely worth checking out easy parking.”
“I have done this place a huge injustice by living in Hamilton for 10 years without knowing it existed!!! The interior resembles a real Italian trattoria, and the ambience is authentic. The food was brilliant, and we tried traditional pizza, bolognese snd parmigiana. Gelato and tiramisu rounded up the wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!”
“Great food. Tasty, good ingredients. Good vibes.”
“We enjoyed an amazing meal here with our family. The atmosphere is really warm and inviting, and the wall murals and artistic creations transport you back to the origins of cuisine and culture. Outstanding cuisine and service. The staff is well-informed and offers excellent suggestions. Would be delighted to return to Pappadomz and dine again.”
“Loveeeee the food here very much!! In our 2 weeks here in north NZ, we visited this outlet several times! The food really authentic. Our personal favourite : butter chicken, the beriyani ( chicken and lamb, both are excellent!) and of course the masala tea! Hats off to the chef!!!! Highly recommended for lunch and dinner!”

“exceptional cafe - great coffee and delicious interesting food. Was almost impossible to decide what to order because I wanted the whole menu… will just have to visit again!”
“Went as an international visitor and I think I paid $35 for the whole experience. They have so many exhibit including NZ/Dunedin early history, Maori, "Animal Attic" (mostly animal taxidermy), Maritime (ship models) and People of the World (random assortment of cultures - they even have a mummy). The Planetarium was alright but I went to the Night Sky one which was rather boring to be honest. The science/kids section was fun but a lot of the exhibit needs to be refreshed as they have seen a lot of use. The butterfly garden was very interesting as it is something you don't see often. They also have a cafe onsite but I did not try it. I spent around 3hrs trying to see everything but this place definitely need a few visits if you want to experience everything. My only complaint is that the gift shop does not have many Otago Museum branded things -only magnets and postcard - I was ready to buy more souvenirs, had they had more!”
