The Moon Eatery and Bar runs with a coffeeโandโcabinet menu and a relaxed pace. A sensible spend for the spread. The team keeps things friendly and organised. Orders move at a steady pace. Morning service moves at a steady clip.
We had an excellent meal here tonight. Mushroom tandori as a starter ws excellent. Then home made cheese paneer with Spinich and a goat curry to die for. And lets not forget the superb naan. Lovely staff, very friendly, highly recommend.
this place is stunning good. Best of the best Indian food I had in my entire life. I would love to bring the whole kitchen to china if I had the chance, srsly.
This restaurant may be nice and the atmosphere was great. But as an Indian the food wasnโt ideal and there was not many options on spice levels. I had to eat chicken curries that were straight up bland. The malai tikka was just a rip off of tandoori chicken, except it was is marinated in malai, so it wasnโt that special. And u asked for butter naan but they gave me plain naan. And the second curry I ordered had two big chunks of chicken!
Nice place and food was ok not like in Auckland. Parking was a issue and finally got a spot opposite the restaurant and it was 180 minutes free parking. My ten kebab special was good but the lamb seek kebabs too salty and rest was good. Restaurants should have some spots of their own so clients can park as its roadside and family restaurant
I am so pleased that we decided to give The Moon Indian Eatery and Bar a try for lunch this long weekend. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly and professional waiter. We chose the $17.99 curry, rice, naan bread and soft drink lunch special. What a great choice. My friend had butter chicken a I enjoyed a beef curry. The meals were fresh and came promptly. More importantly, they were tasty and very filling. A wonderful experience. I will happily return.
Literally the best Indian restaurant my mum and I have ever tried. We were in Rotorua for 2 nights and ate dinner here for both nights. So many good options, such good food at an amazing price and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you chef and the guy who served us!

4.1 | ate lunch here, the dosa was delicious, everything else we ordered was good but not anything particularly standout. Good spot to come if looking for authentic Indian cuisine while in Rotorua, best we could find by a long shot. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable for NZ.
The best Indian food in Rotorua! We all had different dishes and all were super flavourful! I had an amazing lamb shank and it was melt in the mouth! Really lovely server too. Highly recommended, they even have a kids menu!
If you looking for good food for tonight stop watching, you found it. We went for the moon banquet what i would recommend, you gona go home with a full belly. For us it was so good that we went the next day again for lunch. You should definitly try the methi mattra malai with the Chefs spieces. Its mouthwatering. As also the mutter mushroom masala, you will thank me latter
