Such fantastic staff, wonderful environment, and incredible food!! Steps away from the scenic waterfall, we also enjoyed walking through the veggie garden, and the kids playground. The food was beyond our expectations as we were just driving through the area. The salads were all interesting. Loved the risotto!!!!
We had the elopement package through Falls Retreat and Laura was super accommodating and flexible on our requirements from the get-go. The food supplied for dinner and breakfast was spectacular, the venue itself was breathtaking but most of all; the team made sure the wedding was a smooth success! Highly recommend for elopements or even bigger weddings - they certainly help take the pressure off!
Just ate at the cafe. Wood fired pizza was excellent, enjoyed a Greek Salad. A nice place to spend the evening, and have a drink after a day of hiking. A beautiful waterfall at the bottom of the drive. Would definitely pop round again!
What a wonderful lunch we had with you today. You accommodated our requests and you made it special. Food and service great. The Social Menu offered is so good for a big group. My favourite is still the Vegetarian pizza on gluten free base. Delicious. Frances Nicol
My sister's and I had a girls getaway and stayed in the log cabin. It was absolutely fabulous. The staff were all friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had dinner at the restaurant which was great. We will go back and will recommend. 10/10.
Falls Retreat opened the restaurant for our group after our team building at the Battery Site. The restaurant was warm & comfortable, the welcome on arrival friendly but most of all the food was amazing - fresh and delicious. We only had a short window to enjoy the atmosphere, however the team worked within our timing constraints without hesitation. Totally recommend for any large groups!
Absolutely magical setting! Lovely clean room, the Hamper was full of tasty treats and the breakfast was beautiful . Loved the bath outside , very romantic setting. We will be back.
Had the most amazing meal at The Falls Retreat, situated in Karangahake Gorge. Amazing ambience coupled with amazing staff and truly out of this world, chefs. The food is truly memorable and I will eventually work my way through the menu next time I return. Whoever reads this review, and are hungry and are in the vicinity....do call in...you won't be disappointed.
Went there for a family birthday lunch, so didn't experience the accommodation. However, the food was plentiful, original, tasty, and well presented. The service was outstanding and the location is awesome, with bush and waterfalls nearby as well has some historic walks etc. Highly recommend this place.
We stopped off and enjoyed a beautiful lunch at the Falls Retreat Restaurant over the long weekend. Lovely relaxed setting and delicious food - the lamb was superb. I would highly recommend to others.
