One of the loveliest meals i‘ve had in New Zealand. We had the Nasi Lemak and the Steam Rice Chicken. Absolutely delicious. Also the owners are super friendly and help you with advice regarding the order. The place seams to have a lot of regular customers wich is not surprising.

About Us
At Faith Hope Love Malaysian Eatery, the menu stays Thai-inspired, served with an easygoing pace. Noodles arrive glossy and well seasoned. Sides like naan and rice tie the meal together. Desserts close the meal with familiar comfort. Good value shows in the serve sizes.

This has become our go-to “mystery visit” restaurant every time we’re in Napier! We loved it so much that we came twice in two days. My husband absolutely adores their food and service, and he insisted on celebrating his birthday dinner here. The lovely and super friendly owner even treated us to delicious durian ice cream and fried banana fritters. Highly recommended!

Foods are pretty authentic Malaysian. It's nice to have a nice Asian meal while travelling outtown. Staffs were attentive and they're proactive and sensitive with your needs. It's located in the busiest area of the whole Napier city so it was hard to find street parking around. (especially when we went on a Sunday and all street parking was free and with no time limit)

One of the best eating places I've ever visited. The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavour, and beautifully presented. Simple little restaurant with quirky decorations, the atmosphere just made us feel at home. The staff were so friendly, we wouldn't hesitate to come back here next time we're in Napier, and have recommended it to friends and family. EDIT: we've returned here several times over the years and the food and the staff do not disappoint.

Has lots of vegetarian and vegan options. As well as customising for other dietary requirements. The food was fresh and varied. All tasty. The vegetarian wonton (shiitake) was delicious! Lots of yummy drinks as well. Entrance is wheelchair accessible The staff are helpful and it’s a warm friendly atmosphere

I'm from Malaysia and I really like the taste and authenticity of the foods in this restaurant, I've tried most of the stuff on the menu and they're all yummy and taste close to home. Would definitely recommend to everyone! The drinks like teh tarik and syrup bandung are authentic too, especially the syrup bandung, it is better than what I had back at home! Keep an eye out for today's special too, I had Lamb Shank with curry n they tasted amazing!

Feeling like a low key dinner and found FHL a very decent Malaysian with some authentic taste. The Roti Prata was the best! It was crispy and fluffy, both the roti and dipping curry sauce had great flavour. We enjoyed the Chicken Satay, Steamed Pork Bun and Nasi Lemak too with small improvements to make them even more enjoyable. For example, the peanut dipping sauce seemed lacking flavour, need some saltiness or spiciness to complement the chicken skewers. The bun needs to be soft and fluffy to elevate the pork belly. The rice in Nasi Lemak needs to be fluffy and separated to make the dish a complete full awesomeness. Overall FHL is a good experience even for a Malaysian fellow.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! My partner and I came here to treat ourselves after a long time of van-life cooking, and we are so thrilled we did. The Mee Kacang was beautiful, filled with so many complementary flavours (I would advise only adding the side of chilli sauce if you can handle your spice!) and was a perfect portion size. The deep-fried banana for dessert was also absolutely delicious! The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and hospitable, and the meals came out in a timely fashion. Truly excellent, and a credit to Napier!
