Brave Brewing Co runs with a classic fish-and-chips menu and a relaxed feel. Blue cod and other fillets arrive fresh with light batter. A family‑friendly feel comes through naturally. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Buns hold well and patties land juicy.
Great beer and good food, can't go too wrong with that combo. The ceviche is a very generous portion for the price and a must have. Good burgers and dogs too.
Popped in for a kai while visiting Heretaunga- Hastings. Staff were very friendly when we walked in (a little before they were to open at midday). But told us to make ourselves at home. Been here a couple of times, mostly for the beer but today needed some kai. Ordered the Caesar Salad Chicken option and my partner had the Fish Salad. Dam tasty, my fried chicken was crispy, but the cos wedge salad and egg’s were yummo! Got a little raw fish too. So good. Paired it all with a Tigermilk beer. Very refreshing. Definitely a place to visit when here in town 100%. They just do hospitality well here.
Great little brewery near the centre of Hastings. Plenty of choice on tap. Great food. Would be a fabulous spot in the Summer.

Super happy to see such a place. The main barman was chill as and the young bar girl was so friendly too. The Wednesday humble dog special was staring at me for so long. Humble in ingredients but it was a big boy! Thanks guys for a decent evening and ohh yes the milk stout was fabulous,
Nice sunny spot for yum pub style food and a beer, their Tigermilk IPA is so good. Easy going vibe. Possibly the best spicy fried chicken burger ever.
Food was good, service was good, but an unfortunate mistake meant my partner ended up with dairy and gluten, after ordering gf, df. We didn't realise until half way through the meal as it tasted too much like dairy and gluten. The response by staff was very quick, they were extremely sorry and refunded our meal, including adding an extra dish for free. We will return again next time we're in town

Headed somewhere else and happened to see their Nashville Hot Chicken Burger so I decided to try it - I am so glad I did! The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and perfectly tender and juicy on the inside! I’m from the Nashville area and you can’t beat Brave’s chicken burger! I will definitely be back!
Going to put it out there but I think this place has the best chicken burger I’ve ever had. Chicken burgers are a pretty solid go-to for me so I’ve had a few in my years - had to visit this place twice to make sure but I’m etching ‘Brave Brewing Co’ on the trophy now. They’re AMAZING. This goes along with a great atmosphere, fantastic beer list and the rest of the menu looks delicious as well (the missus had the Fish sub twice which she claims to phenomenal but I couldn’t be deterred from the chicken burger).
