“After having local food for 10 days. We are craving for Chinese food. We manage to try this restaurant visited by many Chinese living in Christchurch. It is Hongkong style food. Pickled duck wings. Steam blue cod fish. Ginger and spring onion Venison hot plate. Crispy skin Peking duck. Steamed oyster with vermicelli. All cooked to perfection and taste like food eaten in Hongkong. . “Best subway in town by far, I live in Brighton and usually go there or Eastgate, however these guy in papanui today deserve a top notch review. Friendliest staff especially the staff serving us Cherie she made the best subs we've had to date! On top the dinning area was super clean and inviting. May have to travel across town for our subs now :)”

“Booked the 2 bedroom apartment and it was brilliant. Amazing value, awesome view, lovely spa bath, washer/drier, tv upstairs and downstairs. Was a bit noisy in the evening if you opened the door but it settled down in time for bed and was quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend, my only suggestion is adding a rubbish bin in the bathroom.”

“The Law Courts Hotel is a lucky find for us and anyone else who wants to camp in the middle of Dunedin. Perfectly located a couple of hundred metres from the Octagonal. Surrounded by any number of great cafes, restaurants, shopping, museums and event centres. An added bonus is the pub style restaurant which is part of the bar downstairs. Well priced (we were initially attracted by a special deal) the lower levels have just undergone a major renovation with updates planned for rooms ahead. Due this, I rate the room as a 4 star with a dated shower but superking bed was comfortable and new. Establishment well managed and maintained. Highly recommended. This is our new favourite downtown overnight stop. P”

“I get a roast from this place now and then and its a nice roast, well cooked and they serve it with a nice pork crisp on the side. They’ve never done me wrong in any way. The atmosphere can do with abit more of a welcoming renovation and the people can smile a little, just to make the customer feel welcomed, other than that i have no real complaints. I mean im really only there for the food after all -so overall good.”

“To eat an economical plus good and tasty Indian food, Rawat is the place where you should head too. I normally try the Non Veg combo with the choice of a non veg curry along with Naan and rice. The quantity is sufficient for a person. Naan is superb. As the name says, it's mostly a takeaway place, but there are few seats to help us for dine-in.”
