I had the Akaroa salmon bagel- GF version and it was delicious! Reallt enjoyed the salmon, nice vibes out in the sunshine and friendly staff
Reminded me of the Puhoi Tavern. Loved it, like stepping back in time.. Beer was really good as well.
I had lunch here after a busy day exploring this side of town. The place has a charming rustic vintage eclectic vibe. If you appreciate design and decor, you’ll enjoy it even more. There’s plenty of seating, including shared tables. Keep in mind that orders might take longer to be served if it’s busy. Also, don’t wait for the staff to take your order at the table—you’ll be waiting for nothing. Instead, head inside to place your order first before finding a table. The staff may not greet you as you walk in (haha), so just join the queue and wait your turn. Overall, the food and ambiance are okay, but staff-wise, a friendly smile and a welcoming attitude would go a long way. Good service is about more than just the food!
We had such a good experience here! Our food was incredible and fresh, and so full of flavour. I’m gluten free and asked if they could make a few adjustments and the waitress wasn’t sure but sent the chef out to speak to us, and he was very accommodating. The mussels were out of this world, and we were disappointed they were sold out of salmon but it comes directly from the ocean in Akaroa and weren’t getting the next fresh delivery til that afternoon, from the morning’s catch. Would come back just for that! Eclectic little place with lots of different types of places to sit, we were very glad we wandered in
Had some delicious beef burgers and drinks here. The atmosphere feels like a secret garden. Our server was attentive and kind. There's also an antique/thrift store inside the cottage which was a fun surprise!
We had bacon and eggs plus pancakes. Very nice all round, bacon was cooked to perfection and a generous portion .
Just had lunch and the food was great. We ordered the fish and chip and Smoked Salmon. Both extremely tasty. The staff were very friendly. Service was good. A must try when you are in Akaroa.
I’d have a hard time giving this anything less than 5 stars, the service was great and very sympathic, you have to be patient and the food is very good. Although you can't go wrong when it comes to food in Akaroa, The Brasserie delivers when it comes to atmosphere, food and service. First time being here for lunch and immediately fell in love.
We had late lunch at The Brassiere. Outdoor seats in the garden. Waitress lady is very helpful and friendly. Their fish and chips are yummy. We had good experience. Please note that they do charge the credit card surcharge. Also be careful with your food as there are few birds in the garden and they can grab your food if you leave the food unattended.
Apart from the slightly confusing way to get seated... it was incredible. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere is like a fairytale. The breakfast selection... though a little bit more then what I would normally pay for breakfast... it was worth every single cent. Thankyou. I will be back and I will recommend you onwards.
