“Was in need of a big breakfast as it was brunch time for me. The service was impeccable, the food not only was appealing but delicious and the portion was great. Definitely a treat, highly recommended for delicious food and atmosphere. Thank you, love the environment use provide.”
“A great place to have a relaxing breakfast! Good presentation and even better tasting! Coffee come out quickly and so do the meals! All in the relaxing environment next to the Lloyd Elsmore parks.”
“Wonderful new owners here have refreshed this favourite local cafe. Consistently great food and outstanding friendly service”
“The food here is delicious and reasonable price. Wide open spaces and kid friendly environment.”
“This cafe is by the pool and is really lovely. The food is all delicious, and the staff are friendly. Surrounded by bushes, it has a really pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back again!”
“Yummiest “hot” Leek & Potato soup with lovely crispy fresh grainy toast on a cold Welly day. Their cabinet food looks great too. Nice spacious cafe at the top of Early Settlers. Recommmend!”
“Great café! Friendly staff, delicious food and drinks, great relaxing vibe. Cafe Mamba is definitely one of my go-to spots.”
“Sierra Café on Lambton Quay is a handy little spot tucked away upstairs from the main street, which makes it feel a bit calmer than some of the busier Wellington cafés. The coffee here is solid — my flat white was smooth and strong enough to start the day. I ordered a vegan sandwich, which was creamy and tasty. The cabinet food looked fresh, with muffins, scones, and frittatas that seemed popular with other customers. Service was quick and friendly; even when the café started filling up around lunchtime, my order came out fast. The space has a relaxed, casual vibe and works well for either a quick stop or a longer sit-down. Prices are pocket-friendly. I liked that they cater to different diets with vegetarian and gluten-free options. It’s not the flashiest café in Wellington, but it’s dependable and comfortable. I’d happily come back, especially for breakfast or a mid-morning coffee.”
“Five stars for value - where else can you get a filling sit-down lunch meal including a salad for less than $10? Today i had a delicious spinach, mushroom and feta pastie with salad - more than enough for lunch. Staff are always friendly and there is a great range of cabinet food too.”
“First class all the way. The two young guys running the place are fantastic. The food is seriously good and it's popular for good reason. We'll be back when next in Wellington.”
“I’m sorry but how have I never been here before in my 14 years living in Wellington. Such a cosy nook, blink and you’ll miss it. the last Bastian of a cheap eggs on toast in Wellington if you will. AND mayoral candidate Rob Gouldon was seated there wearing a massive ribbon like a prize- what a treat. I’ll be back a million times over”
“Super clean and well organised with a really impressive play area. The entrance fee is expensive but worth it in my opinion. There are even healthy menu items at the canteen, which is unusual at other indoor play areas. A great rainy day trip!”
“Went here for the first time to see Wake Up Dead Man and it was a very nice experience. Although the layout made it feel a bit like a bingo parlour upon first entry, the amount of people gathered here gave the venue a much livelier feel than other local theatres, and the screens and audio quality were top notch. It had more of a community vibe than I was expecting and I think we’ll frequent this cinema more often than not in the future.”
“A great time! This favorite spot of Viggo Mortensen during his time filming Lord of the Rings in New Zealand is a must visit in Wellington!”
“Very nice smooth coffee with depth of flavour, I believe it was medium roast but still very enjoyable as someone who prefers a darker bean. Inside is very clean and well presented, and the outdoor garden is very nice, with murals and lights. Could be a good venue. Only feedback to the team is to clear tables more frequently, as there were a couple unattended and I see past reviews speak on this as well. Good atmosphere :)”
“The barista .. Athina k makes THE BEST coffees in Kilbirnie. Awesome service, great food and delish coffees! Highly recommend”
“We had our son's 1st Birthday at the spray pool, food organized through Kilbirnie cafe who were a delight to deal with, very accommodating and had all the basics a kids birthday requires. The spring rolls were our favorite.”
“Came here because it was convenient, but the food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Definitely worth going to if you're in the area and want something to eat.”
“A great restaurant serving delicious food located steps from the Ibis hotel where I was staying. The Mussels were some of the best and the lamb rump was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very nice as it seems to be an old bank building. Prices were reasonable. It was however very noisy.”
“We come here a lot to play but my daughters birthday party was at Chipmunks Lyall Bay today. It was AMAZING! The recent upgrades have made the venue so awesome all the kids loved it. The food was great, the party house was great, but the best part was how friendly the staff were- it was so busy and they were still able to make sure we had everything we needed and more! They were so caring and made it such a special and easy day for us. Highly recommend Chipmunks Lyall Bay, thank you guys I am so grateful for help in making my girls day so special!”
“Best curly fries around. Easy to have a conversation and be heard, the coffee is constantly good and recently become almost too pretty to drink.”
“Macaroni and mocha were absolutely delicious! Great service as well.”
“Ben kimber service was amazing and wonderful and staff was amazing very helpful and great coffee”
“Indulge in the finest iced mocha in town priced at $6.80, boasting a perfect balance of sweetness and unparalleled flavor! It’s the ideal kickstart to your day. The noodles come along with generous amount fresh herb. Plus, the service is exceptional and welcoming. The café might not catch your eye from the outside, but trust me, it’s got all the goods, from great food to awesome service.”
“Amazing service, delicious food and creative meals, everything we needed to uplift the energy on a could rainy day ✨”
“It's such a nice cafe at the waterfront of Days Bay. Nice atmosphere and staff. Sometimes, it takes a while for the kitchen, but that is mainly because of how busy it is. The food is great, cakes are nice and the coffee is good.”
“Great sized meals and delicious! Definitely made with love ❤ Highly recommend this cool place”
“These guys consistently present lovely food and the staff are thoroughly professional and friendly. If you want to enjoy a well run cafe then this is an excellent example the owners are very lucky to have such good staff”
“Great food and really friendly staff. We had a Korean burger which was divine and a Wagu burger which was also perfectly delicious. Great chips. Not oily but very crisp. And most of all great coffee.”
