Absolutely LOVE Homestead café!! The view here is simply unbeatable – perfect for relaxing and taking it all in. It’s dog-friendly and great for families, making it a spot everyone can enjoy. Whether you’re on a date or catching up with friends, this place sets the perfect vibe. The service is warm and welcoming, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. My favourite is the BLAT – so fresh and flavourful! BIG THANKS to the staff for the amazing food&coffee, you truly made my day. Highly recommend!

I ordered an Ice Mocha after my walk. Usually when I ask for Ice Mocha (at different places), it’s cold milk with coffee and added chocolate flavour (liquid consistency) like an iced latte but what I got here was a Frappe. I DID NOT ask for Mocha FRAPPE nor a MILKSHAKE. When I placed the order, the staff were lovely and all smiley. The moment it was delivered to me, I gently asked I didn’t request for frappe? Isn’t it supposed to be watery? And there was no smile, with a plain face the same person responded ‘ This is Ice Mocha’. I live in the same neighbourhood and have visited this cafe for coffee a few times. I was disappointed. It’s a very cold morning but I just wanted something cool after a long sweaty walk. Frappe is a worst idea, because the staff wasn’t approachable I ended up just taking the drink home. It’s interesting to see how faces change the moment money is paid. This was $9 and I did not enjoy it.

A great place to have a relaxing breakfast! Good presentation and even better tasting! Coffee come out quickly and so do the meals! All in the relaxing environment next to the Lloyd Elsmore parks.

Presentation of the food here is on point. You can’t fault it for the price you pay. I appreciate its location as a part of the Howie historic village. It fits in well. They take their cleanliness seriously as tables were constantly being cleared. While it was quiet when I turned up it became lively soon after. They serve a decent breakfast at a decent price.

I walked into the cafe this week. Bear in mind this cafe is adjacent to the Howick historical village. I was absolutely disgusted as I walked in to see a large speaker mounted on a table on the right hand side blasting background music. I walked straight out of the cafe. While the music was classical the volume was too loud and the positioning of the speaker blasted patrons ears as they walked in the cafe. Completely inappropriate for what is supposed to be a historical village. Please remove your large speaker immediately. I did not appreciate it in my right ear. I can’t speak to the food as I was so disgusted I walked straight out of the cafe.

Excellent cafe in a beautiful location with really friendly and helpful staff. This cafè is ideal to visit with your dog or kids and have a play or walk around the park after breakfast.
