“I started at Altitude Pole Takapuna a year ago when I first moved to Auckland and it has been such an amazing part of my life. The instructors are perfect, no matter what skill level you are. I have made great friends through the studio as well. One last thing is it is such an accepting place no matter of size, age or gender. It is a great place if you need to gain some confidence or want to feel good about yourself :)”
“This was the nicest hotel from our holiday in NZ. From the moment we stepped in the door, service was excellent. Having a laundry machine in the room was a huge bonus to refresh our suitcase. Location was wonderful; we only walked a few minutes to get anywhere. Highly recommended hotel in Wellington!”
“I’ve been going to BoxHiit30 Papanui for over 2 years now and absolutely love it! The trainers are super supportive and really know how to push you while keeping it fun. It’s such a great community – everyone is welcoming and encouraging, which makes turning up so much easier. I love that they run regular challenges to keep you accountable and add a fun competitive twist. The workouts are always versatile and never boring, which keeps me motivated. Couldn’t recommend BoxHiit30 more to anyo looking for a different gym experience!”
“Best atmosphere, nice and friendly people. Great coaches.”
“If you're looking for a studio to join I highly recommend Limitless Studio! The teachers & students are some of the nicest people I have ever met, so it's a great place to meet new people and the atmosphere is really welcoming. Each teacher & class varies between flow, dynamics, flex or static movements, so depending on what you're trying work on there's always a class to match your vibe. I've improved on my hoop skills significantly since joining and even managed master some flair moves that I've been trying to get for years.”
“Great gym with an awesome atmosphere. Very welcoming with solid training sessions and an emphasis on technique. Also has a very flexible timetable offering early morning and evening sessions 5 days a week, plus a Saturday and women’s class. Greg looks after his students and puts in the time and effort to better their jiu jitsu. Love this place.”
“I started at Studio Pilates Rangiora this year and already seeing the benefits! All the teachers are so lovely and really want to push you to do your best - Shout out to Emily! x”
“Love Cambridge Pilates. Alaine is a wonderful and professional instructor who instinctively knows that we are all individuals with unique bodies and needs. The small classes allow for a personal approach - you don’t feel like you’re just another attendee, being rushed in and out of classes. I have tried a number of other local pilates studios, but Cambridge Pilates is always one that I go back to.”
“I recently visited Redefined for Rest & Restore class, and it was amazing! The atmosphere was so calming, the instructor was wonderful, and I left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend to anyone looking to unwind and recharge!”

“Kia ora. I have known Tanya and worked her since my inception into Ponsonby Rugby in 2007. She has helped me to recover from 2 shoulder reconstructions and a knee reconstruction. I would promote her in the highest for anything regarding sports. As an ex pro League player in Australia 2003-2004 and ex dual NZ 19’s in both rugby and league”
“Have been dealing with a knee injury and cannot recommend Akl Phy enough they are a true professional outfit who do genuinely care for their patients. Special shout out to Niamh who spent many sessions with me making sure I was discharged feeling 110% better. Will be my choice for physiotherapy going forward.”
“Best all-round recovery clinic in Auckland!! My first visit was in 2019 when I first injured my back. The team here were very knowledgeable and supportive in improving my spine health. Been visiting this clinic again for the last two months after another injury and I am genuinely surprised how much better my body is feeling now. The Chiropractors here are both very experienced and friendly. The clinic is neat and they have the latest equipment. Definitely try out their Normatec compression boots. If you are into traditional methods, you can also get acupuncture treatment from their acupuncturist. Highly recommend this place to everyone with a fatigued back or anyone wishing to improve their physical performance.”
“Fitness Canterbury is a loving supporting gym that wants to see you succeed. What I love about it the gym is the variety of equipment that is supplies and how it never gets too crowded when working out. The gym is a like a Machine heaven with kind workers. If your looking for a gym this one’s for you”
“Jess is a brilliant teacher, really patient and supportive. For any tough guys out there with bad backs I thoroughly recommend the men’s only mat class. My lower back problems have much improved since joining Active Core.”
“The best gym! Jono and the team always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. There’s a brilliant range of classes and equipment, so there really is something for everyone. Even for those of us who aren’t overly passionate about working out and just want to stay in shape, you’re always made to feel comfortable, supported, and important.”
“Awesome bouldering gym. Day pass was 23 NZD (about $14 USD only) and I was told I could come for free the next 7 days, too bad it was my last day in Auckland. Excellent vibes, felt super welcome by staff and the people climbing. Lots of fun problems, ratings are in colored ranges. Problems end on the last hold (like in European gyms), shirts off are fine for males (great because it was very hot and I swear a lot), chalk is fine, they said it was actually harder cleaning liquid chalk. They managed to do a lot with the space,. there's even a Yoga room on top, a children's area, and a small fitness box. They have 2 tension boards, campus boards and a lot of boulders. Would def come back here.”
“Catherine is a fantastic physio. I've been to her over a number of years for various injuries. She is outstanding at diagnosing the underlying issue. Her treament plans have always resulted in any injuries being remedied. The rehab exercises she recommends are always spot on. Would definitely recommend to anyone.”
“I have been going to Coast Academy for around 7 years now and it’s been great. Coast Academy is one big family. The coaches here take time with each student to make sure they know exactly what they are doing. The atmosphere here at this gym is so great as well, everyone is so kind, caring, supportive and helpful. The people who are part of this gym are so respectful and kind and willing to help if needed. I am proud to call Coast Academy second home.”
“Could not recommend a gym more! They have the most amazing coaches who are all so inclusive and welcoming. With a diverse range of class options for changing up your routine, from high intensity to strength or pilates - makes training more engaging and enjoyable! The overall atmosphere at Habitat is great - you'll always feel safe and included and you'll leave the gym with the best post workout endorphins!!”
“very nice gym i always enjoy my training here. attached is a photo of me and my favourite gym member Jed ! =^ . ^=”
“Great gym with great trainers that will help you reach whatever goals you have. I’ve been training at MTC for roughly 18 months it was a little intimidating at first but it didn’t take long for that to go away with how friendly and supportive everyone is.”
“Really accomodating, great culture with very encouraging coaches and the price is just right. Possibly the best MMA gym in Auckland”
“I had moved nearby a few months ago and decided to try their Intro to Pole Sport classes. It was totally out of my comfort zone but they were so welcoming that I decided to get a membership! It's definitely a family. Would 100% recommend. I've brought friends to the flexibility classes as well and they enjoyed it! I recommend the memberships, but if you can't fork the money and happen to have ClassPass they are on there as well! But if it's your first time going make sure to go to the intro classes - I think you have to do 5 before going to Level 1.”
“Rafael took 16 of us through a BJJ class as part of a Stag Do. They tailored the experience really well to a range of abilities and everyone had a great time. Would definitely recommend this as an activity in the future.”
“Perfect place for sports and training.Awesome staff and facilities for games and indoor activities.Conference rooms are spacious and plenty of carparks!”
