“Lovely environment with friendly staff, super convenient location. Great coffee!”
“Came here for the first time ever with my partner for our Anniversary dinner and the food was sensational! We had the Chicken Korma and the Chefs Special which unfortunately I couldn’t remember the name of, and the dessert also was amazing! These guys need more publicity that’s for sure as a newly opened Indian Restaurant, we 100% recommend this place!”
“I LOVE Kindred Road! The cosiest cafe in the bay for sure. The coffee has stepped up its game and is superb not to mention the sweet treats my fave the apple crumble tart and cream! The girls in there are so friendly too!”

“I was shopping around looking for a bakery to do gluten free cakes for a future event and I came across a review for gluten free items at Frimley Bakery. WHAT? No way! I went there like 7 years ago and I could only get a $9 toastie (good but $9 in 2018). Today they have a whole shelf of GF items and there is savoury and sweet. I got a whole spice loaf for $7.50!!!! It is soft and yummmmmm!”
“We did a beer tasting and cider for the non beer drinkers. They are good on the gluten free drinks but I didn't eat. I was told the hot chips were pretty good. The others all got flights of beer, 5 beers form the tasting. I thoroughly enjoyed my cider and ginger beer but the alcoholic ginger beer unfortunately had gluten. We will be going back.”
“Wow! Just looking at the other reviewers cakes that have been made by this wonderful company, makes me wish I lived closer! I had a very urgent request for a very small item sold at Cake Stuff, living in Auckland I couldn’t not find one anywhere. Not only was I greeted with the friendliest of replies when I enquired, but they went out of their way to stop everything they were doing, package the item up for me and visit the NZPost up the road, before the money was even transferred. They have managed to save the day for me and I am so appreciative of their effort. What incredible service, thank you so much! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”
“What a delicious lunch! Highly recommend the avo toast and pulled pork eggs Benedict. The kids lunch includes a cheese toast, fruit and dessert and my son loved it. We will definitely be visiting often!”
“Mamas Donuts are by far the best ive had. The ladys there are awesome and they have a wide variety of selections. I could not recommend them more ❤️”

On the plate at Rosie O'Grady's Hastings, the idea is kebab and pita and well executed. Good value shows in the serve sizes. Breakfast plates are tidy and satisfying. Meats are sliced to order with fresh salads.
Craft and Social keeps things simple, bistro-style and focused on flavour. Desserts close the meal with familiar comfort. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Value feels fair for the spread.
“I come in here most weeks with my father. We both love the food. Good portions and a reasonable price.”
“Awesome coffee great food and service Delicious sandwiches and slices too”
“What a terrific Saturday afternoon. The sun is shining and shining bright on my new favourite little cafe on the harbour. The service was truly impeccable and certainly was welcoming. My dear friends and I were served by a lovely young lady Janaiyah who suggested the perfect meal to satisfy my taste buds. I am truly grateful for an incredible experience that I will reflect on with joy.”
“Great staff, the little food I had was delicious and the coffee was good”
“Did the 3rd tier gin tour - absolutely amazing for experience and price! Staff are amazing, cocktail making was so much and at the end got to do an amazing cocktail creation utilizing the flavors chart. Cannot wait to go back for another visit!”
“So happy to have walked in front of this place and decided to enter. Really nice alternative place and friendly people. Do not hesitate to enter and support their way of doing ! Also really good snacks ;) Will maybe try the meals another time”
“Beautifullly situated cafe ! - the most lovely view of rhe Beach and waterfront. Could sit for hours but had eaten the steak, bacon pie too quickly! It's a cosy environment and best seats at definitely away from the door, especially on cold days! Although the owners were quick to close the door when someone forgot to close it. The service was superb!”

“The best coffee ever I have. Thanks a lot Staff very nice and kindly. The vibes so warmly and lovey.”
“Coffee & Food --- both 10 out of 10. Coffee is not only delicious, it is also well presented(golden cream color & shape well drawn). I had toast sandwich today with up to 3 fillings only cost me $8! So delicious & great value for money. Let alone eating inside the most beautiful building of Dunedin so much like some of the arty buildings in lower Manhattan New York city. Love this place & will become my regular cafe now”
“The place was recommended by a fellow backpacker so i'd thought i'll come by to take a look. Not a big place but does have both indoor and outdoors sitting. Everyone's okie to share the table. Minimalistically decorated. Variety on the menu. I was in a dilemma on choosing what to eat and the owner shared what he preferred which wasnt the most expensive thing off the menu. Haha. Shows the love he has for the food and people than the profit. Awesome. I had Hash: its pulled pork and taters.. very well done, not overly salty. Well prepared. Hot chocolate, theres the cadbury and whittakers options. Always nice to know there's a choice. :) Street parking. Help urself to the water, by the counter. All in all, an enjoyable brunch out.”
