I loved the new Colli flower burger and the apple margarita. Every staff member is cool. The only reason service is lacking a star is because the manager with the ponytail was sassy like a toddler and insists on wearing a two piece stamped outfit. Food was great
Always had a good experience here! In my opinion the only place worth going for food or drink at the Mount. Staff was always nice and polite… the young blond girl running the show yesterday afternoon was super friendly and professional.
I get the vegan chicken burger and the local beer every time. The vegan chicken burger comes with vegan cheese and vegan mayo on a gluten free bun. Delicious! The staff are always friendly and the restaurant has a great vibe.
It was an excellent experience. Cold beer and tasty burgers are the best combination, and you can find it here at the Palace Tavern. The staff was very kind and the place has some games to enjoy your time in the tavern after eating. We will go back soon to try 2 different burgers.
Their “Nashville Hot Chicken Burger Special” is an absolute standout. Perfectly crispy & spicy, and somehow still balanced in flavour. My photo doesn’t even come close to capturing how good this thing is. If you’re anywhere near, do yourself a favor and try it. #aussieinnz
This place is elite and never misses! From the incredible smash burgers to top tier crinkle cut fries The decor is reminiscent of an American bluesy/rock and roll bar with all the atmosphere to book 10/10 knock it out the park for me every time. Nothing comes close in the bay, a must when visiting, in fact worth the trip alone
Worse margarita in the mount! I love margaritas and this one was BAD. I’m talking about: -Bad presentation -Bad amount -Bad flavor If you like cocktails this “tavern” isn’t the place to get one for sure + rude staff. Please check the photo and let me know what do you think. Food was tasty and that’s all. You will find better places a few steps away.
Great service, helpful advice. The Hoedown & Classic Chicken burgers hit the spot, and the crinkle cut fries were amazing, as was the mystery mayo! Great range of beer and a cool place to relax, perfect for waiting for the food order.
If you're a burger and beer fanatic, give this gem a try. Minimalist selection of really tasty food which appears as if by magic, minutes after you odered it. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, and it has a pool table too. Well priced burgers and great atmosphere.
My mates and I came to tga for waitangi long weekend and found this place. Burgers are really nice. Maple butter basket (chicken wings) are to die for and deep fried onions rings sprinkled with spring onions were real good too. Palace was so good we came here twice. Highly recommended
