Parking around the back which ideal for Christchurch. On a busy road so can be a little loud with traffic otherwise it's a 5 star place”

“Calling all long black coffee lovers. I have never been able to get a long black coffee that wasn’t watery or burned. I usually don’t bother ordering coffee when out because of this. I have just had the most beautiful coffee at this cafe and the service was cheerful, environment happy and calm. Too good what a great team food, drinks and service. “I come in to Columbus Coffee Ferrymead with my daughter usually once a fortnight sometimes bringing in other family or friends to have a meal. Been coming here for a over a year. The staff are very friendly and happy towards us. The meals are yummy and even more delicious now under the new owners/chef. Love the dairy free frappe's. Have also come here to have meals for our birthday's and anniversaries. We definitely feel welcomed here and will continue coming back.”

“Honestly don’t know what all the people on here are talking about, we went in tonight for dinner and had the most amazing service. Our waiter Eddie was absolutely amazing, great energy, playful jokes and some amazing service. He made the entire experience enjoyable. On top of that the cocktails and food were 10/10 I got the steak burger and it was huge!!!!! I was struggling to fit it all in my mouth but it was worth it cause the flavours were just phenomenal. Definitely recommend popping in here and having dinner it’s a great spot”

He was able to get a table for us when so so busy! He is so friendly, chatty and quick service, we enjoy talking to him. He is outstanding and very quickly to clear and wipe tables. “Hidden gem in Gordonton! The staff are amazing, helpful, and friendly, and the food is consistently delicious! What more could you ask for? Although every extra thing I ask for, or add to, is never too much of a request and everyone is happy to help. The coffee is always A++ too!”

“A charming, pretty and quirky cafe. I am always excited when I unexpectedly find cafes that offer foods for special dietary requirements. Poppy's offers great vegan options, so naturally I was compelled to order the most generous and mouth-watering meal I could choose. We did not wait long to be served, but what a gift it is that the tables are equipped with games. These are probably intended for children, but I am a shameless millenial and playing Connect 4 while waiting was nostalgic and tremendously fun! When the food did arrive, it was hot and fresh and beautifully presented. I felt completely satisfied after my meal. The cafe setup is rustic, comforting, and charming; the decor shows a lot of heart. I'd definitely recommend this place and hope to visit again soon.”

“Actually the best pie I've had in my life. The pies from here is actually world class. The way the pie filling is done, the sauce, the blend it's all balanced to perfection. The generosity on the fillings is next level. And yet the pastry is light and fluffy too. I can see how they have won many pie comps now. Well worth the trip out for Even the ones I took away, when reheated in the oven still tastes amazing just like the original shop”

“Rarely I give a coffee shop 5 stars, but this one deserve it. It runs by ambitious and enthusiastic people, they are friendly and helpful. Friendly by their welcoming and their smiles. Helpful by their suggesting and offering some alternative options. I’m here, enjoying my Latte, one of the best in Auckland (even better than the famous coffee shops), and I like the egg tarts. They run out quickly if you didn’t catch them, so, the barista girl suggested for me an Oreo cheesecake, and Guess what, it’s delicious! The place and the tables always clean and nice to set for a cup of coffee ☕️ and for someone on hurry as me. Good Job Taste Cafe people! I like it!”

“We had my son’s 3rd birthday here over the weekend and it was such a great experience. Everything was handled really well and I didn’t have to worry about anything at all. The party host Kaira was so attentive and lovely and made us all feel very welcome. The rooms was decorated nicely , the food was all out very quick and the kids had so much fun! Thanks so much! We will be back for sure :)”
