I highly recommend Cafe on the Strand, having had a delicious breakfast there recently, while staying over night at City Suites accommodation, a short walk away in Cameroon Road. (I'd highly recommend them too.) I ordered a cup of tea while waiting for my yummy smashed avocado and poached egg on toast. The tea was literally the best cup of tea I've ever had out. I'm very fussy with tea, but the cafe earned their five stars before I was even served my breakfast! Staff were lovely and so was the sea view, which as a visitor to Tauranga I was pleased to see. Well done to the staff of CafΓ© on the Strand, I'll definitely visit you again whenever I'm in Tauranga!
Great breakfast spot! The coffee was smooth and strong, and the breakfast sandwich was fresh and tasty. Cozy vibe and friendly staffβperfect way to start the day. Highly recommend!
Wow! Best coffee!!! And so delicious the Eggs Benedict with salmon! Besides the cabinet food sandwiches/savouries/filled rolls and sweet things they also offer quite a lot of variety of meals from all day breakfasts, to pizzas, to burgers, to meat and salad(they even have a lamb shank! option). Also they have ice-cream! I will definitely be back here again and would highly recommend coming here.
Horrible now that it has new owners, prices too high for what is served. Dead quiet, no music, not friendly. Don't think we will be back.
Friendly, fast service as there were only a few people when we went in, cash or credit cards are accepted,the door would be wheelchair accessible.Looking at the different menus on the board for breakfast,brunch,lunch $25 would be more than sufficient.

With an excellent menu at very good prices, this has to be the best place for breakfast in Tauranga. Fresh, quality food - most delicious. Poached eggs cooked to perfection with generous portions. Friendly staff to boot. Not to be missed.
We have been here twice after a long weekend we came to this place. Absolutely loved our meals and left satisfied. Im real fussy on how i have my eggs and they nailed it both times. It opens early so very convinent for a early morning meal. The veiws are great and the atmosphere is relaxing. Yes i would highly recommend :) ill definitly be back here again. Spent about $30 for 2 people
