“I was passing by looking for a coffee and found this place. It’s really busy with all of the paraphernalia but gives the place its charm. They had 6 different flavours of red bush tea which I do love but $14 per 100g. Coffee was average but enjoyed a free tea while I waited.”

“I've been to most cafés around Wellington City and Petone/Lower Hutt, and Kelburn Café is hands down the most consistently amazing. I order Eggs Benedict everywhere I go, and after 10+ visits here, I've never once had an over—or undercooked egg - the consistency here is outstanding. It is a small café, so when it's busy there can be a short wait for food or coffee, but it's always worth it. The coffee is consistently perfect, and the beans they use are clearly top quality. The café is run by a small team who always serve with a smile, and the atmosphere is amazing. Couldn't recommend them enough - I'll definitely be back regularly.”

“popped in approx 2pm on Fri as on way to Hanmer from Airport and was. starving . place Advertised home made pies hence why we picked it. I Had steakncheese. hubby had steak mushroom. They were both yum. Good meat and flavors. So dont be fooled by exterior. The proprietor was so friendly and great service even insisted on toasting in oven the filo pie we also bought so pastry was crunchy. Recommend if you want an inexpensive and quick bite on the road.”

“Very friendly staff, we walked in last minute and they were all super excited to extend their day a little to provide a great experience. Great espresso and we had the best pour over. “Had one of their award winning Steak n Cheese pies. It was everything you'd want from a pie - flakey pastry on top, soft on bottom, delicious flavours, tender steak, golden on top. Not the cheapest at $7 but definitely worththe stop if you're after a good pie.”

We ordered several dishes but the big breakfast and small big breakfast was super yummy - well cooked and served quickly. The staff were lovely. A great play area for the children. Chilled glasses for our water as well. Will definitely come back next time we are in Cambridge. Thank you for a great place to catch up”

“Went for lunch on Saturday with my 6 year old. He absolutely loved his mango smoothie and cookie and my Chicken/Prawn Laksa was delicious. Highly recommend and we will be back. Awesome, friendly service with a smile. Can't fault it.”

“I'd like to express my gratitude to have such a nice cafe out there. Definitely warm and welcoming atmosphere. The value for the money is unbeatable, considering how prices have raised in the sorounding areas. I've started having medium flat whites and the size is big, price is great. Today I've eaten a nice toast with 3 ingredients of my choice and it was well made. Please note that the approach is a homemade dish, which is great. I don't tend to go to places to see MasterChef decorations to justify high prices. What I do care is flavour, quality of food and service, not to mention the price. So this is the place to go for me and I've become a regular. I'm quite surprised that this place isn't packed, but hopefully you read this and support this business.”

“Great coffee and a place to do some laptop work. There are plenty of seats as the cafe is technically a hall. It is huge. The cafe is part of the event center but at the same time works as a separate entity. I will return more often to do digital work online and have great coffee in the future. This was my first time here today.”
