    Everything about this Cafe is Exceptional. Food is Devine. we had Kotti Roti to have it there and Fish rottis and Fish Bun for take away. Best Food you can try in a Sri Lankan Restaurant in New Zealand. Ruwan is doing a fantastic job as the owner operator and we are very thankful for the hospitality we received while we are there. MUST TRY CAFE + SRI LANKAN FOOD PLACE IN WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND.

    I had been eager to try this cafΓ© for weeks, and I finally visited yesterday (18.12.2025) . I ordered the fried rice and nasi goreng, and both dishes were exceptionalβ€”authentic flavors and served promptly. The staff were warm and welcoming, and my husband enjoyed the fried rice for the first time, which speaks volumes about its quality. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning soon. It’s also halal :)

    I grabbed dinner for takeaway from Li’s Cafe for my birthday. absolutely delicious! The food was packed really well and tasted just like home. Super comforting, full of flavour, and the service was lovely and friendly. Highly recommend if you're after a warm, home-style meal!

    Since a change of management, the quality of service and friendliness of staff has gone down. This seems to be reflected in the patronage, which has dropped off.

    Ordered through doordash a coffee and 3 other food items. I only received the coffee, no food. In the order was marked as replaced and still charged for it but no replacement was sent. When contacted the cafe, their excuse was that they had a busy morning and had run out of the food. I was promised a refund that a month later has not been processed. And the coffee was disappointing... I would never order from this place again.
