“Celebrating our lovely daughter’s 6th birthday—and her very first birthday party—at this restaurant was the best decision we could have made! From the beginning, Rachel, the owner, was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all our questions and guiding us through the party planning process. The staff was beyond kind, making sure everything ran smoothly. The delicious buffet for adults, the fantastic kids’ menu, and the amazing outdoor playground made this place truly special. Everything was just perfect for us! A huge thank you to the staff for warmly accommodating 20 excited kids! If anyone is looking for the perfect venue for a child’s birthday party, I highly recommend this place!”

“We came here for dinner on our first night in Auckland and it delivered! Niro and her team were gracious to seat us close to closing and quickly took our orders and served us. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to eat here as part of our honeymoon. The drinks were crisp and the food was incredible. I ordered the pepper steak and my husband ordered the spaghetti bolognese per the staff’s recommendation, and neither of us could stop eating and cleaned our plates. Not to mention the privacy the booth seating provided and the joyous Christmas decor! Highly recommend stopping in if you have the chance.”

“Ok...I have to admit, it was not my intention to come here. I was really looking for The Grove and since they were closed this was right next door and up stairs. What an adorable place with a variety of fresh foods, filtered water, charming ambiance and a full bar of coffee, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. No AC but the seating area is charming overlooking the near by park and church. And did I mention free wifi.”

“Recently I had the pleasure of organising a staff lunch at The Cav. All staff I dealt with were incredibly helpful and accommodating as we had a few unknowns leading up to the day, and everything went smoothly at their end. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Wonderful way for us to end the year. Definitely recommend if you're looking to have a function.”

“Look at that inviting courtyard. What a great place for a meeting, a break or stop for office time in one of their booths. Plenty of space in the back with outdoors covered seating area too. Great coffee and eggs Benedict. Cafe at front and large bar inside. You need to look in deeper than just from the street entrance.”

“I originally came in one day with my friend we where abot worried as it was some of our first bars in wellington and we had a lovely night the staff where so incredible and its kept me coming back everytime, all the bartenders have been lovely and chatty to me as always as they do a great job at keeping younger women such as myself and my friends safe the duty managers often are running around and still servicing with a smile which is honestly amazing especially when it's so packed . The staff have made that place what it is, and it's a safe and great place to drink highly recommend.”

“The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. If you're looking for a fun and memorable experience in Wellington, I highly recommend checking out this rooftop bar. Although the weather wasn’t great they had covered, heated seating areas where you can sit enjoy the view.”

“Went here with my date and we both really enjoyed it. The free popcorn at the begining was definitely a highlight and if nothing else, we'll be back for more of that! The Mac and cheese was literally bubbling when it was served and the cauliflower was just awesome. The chicken tenders were great, had a bit of a kick to them that neither of us were expecting but weren't disappointed by either. Our server was friendly and helpful when we had questions. Will definitely be back!!”

“I came here a whil ago and was not impressed with the steak. However decided to come today, and i could not fault my scotch fillet steak, cooked med rare, tasted amazing. Long horn double patty burger looked delicious and mouth watering, the patties were cooked to perfection and the flavors awesome. Kids nugget meal, fresh nuggets!! Kidsmeal free on sundays. Customer service, lady was super nice and chef stayed open even when we arrived cutting it close for kitchen to close. Desserts were yumm too.”

“Coffee is A++ and I’m a coffee snob, was nice to finish a good coffee. I had chicken wings, while they’re were a tad oily they were still tasty and a decent serving! Had a chips on the side and that was also a decent serving and were very tasty, bonus points for not having dry wings. Partner had the chicken burger which he really enjoyed. Overall a really nice experience, the lady who served us was super polite and had fab hospo skills - very welcoming. Fire was also on so we were toasty warm. We will back back in the summer ☀️”

“Been a fan of this place for years the music on most nights is great hidden gem is upstairs to the right of the toilets along with 3 other cool spaces to share a beer with your mates never once have I seen any drama door staff do a great job. Safe place to get a glow on”

We had a lot of people from outside of Auckland and they were so impressed by the location, such an amazing venue for a gatherung , Big shout out to Andy and Grant who were amazing on the bar , I highly recommend parked up for any event”

“My friend had popped over from Melbourne and was staying at the Park Hyatt so we decided to come here. A very good choice we made. The service was very quick and the drinks and food was top notch. We had The Hail Mary (Philly cheese steak) and The fried chicken burger with a couple of drinks. The fries that came with the food was crispy but soft inside and Steak Sandwich was superb. It was a bit loud but the music was great. All in all we had a good evening out.”
