“Great spot for an early morning coffee and breakfast. Opens at 0600 so perfect for the early birds. Great location, on the corner of Gordon and Factory road with plenty of parking out back and easy access to the parking. Friendly staff and great atmosphere, perfect spot to catch up with friends before the day starts. Serves a great coffee and some choice breakfast options. “Our meals were generously portioned and cooked to absolute perfection! The chef could teach a masterclass in cooking breadcrumbs! Our table were elated to receive such great, fast service and meals that were far beyond their price point in quality, flavour and portion! We will be back as often as possible!”
“Get our petrol ⛽️ there and coffees once a week great staff”
“A great cheaper alternative to Subway”
“Classic NZ bar, relaxed atmosphere. Big smokers area with outdoor heating. TAB betting and big pokies room. Ladies behind the bar were lovely. $9 a pint of Speights is good enough. beats paying $15 for a small pint in town!”
“This was a pleasant surprise. We were expecting a simple and standard pub fare, but what we got was much more than that. The pricing and portion sizes alone was great, but the taste was exceptional. The best meal we had in Dunedin. Four of us had four different items on the menu and none of the choices disappointed. The Lomo Saltado I ate, it looked relatively simple but flavour wise, it was amazing.”
“We're spending a few days bouncing around south South Island, New Zealand, and as a North American who now lives in this wonderful, I am VERY AWARE of how kiwis love to slip beets into everything. So I am wary. Watchful. Borderline suspicious. However, we had a fantastic dinner at Vault 21 and very little of that was due to the delightful lack of beets. Allyson was our server and a total joy. She helped us navigate some shared dishes while also ensuring my dinner partner and I got a bit of the stuff we liked (but the other might not). Pierogies were great, fried not boiled, and just melted across your tongue. Lamb was very tender. The sliders awesome and thankfully not those messy types that turn you into a BBQ-slathered freak where you end up with bits of napkin confetti all over your face, waving brown-papered hands as you beg your server for wet wipes or damp bath towels. And a huge order of fries! Very tasty and the bowl was as big as your head. Awesome. Had all sorts of dinners and lunches this past week, but so far, Vault 21 tops them all. Highly recommended.”
“We had such a great time at the cafe! Abraham was incredibly friendly and helpful. He made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the amazing service!”
“I've tried a lot of roasts in Dunedin and hands down this is the best. The lunch special with desert is really good value and the staff are really lovely. This is a gem, would highly recommend the meals and atmosphere. They have a chef who knows what they are doing.”

“Had a blast at timezone, lovely sushi for lunch. Had coffees at muffin break. Got a fantastic haircut at EFX hair and beauty! They were fantastic as someone who has major anxiety about people touching my hair they couldn't of been more attentive. Absolutely brilliant service”
