So disappointed. I stopped going here due to cost of wine per glass. Came in tonight fir Melbourne cup and asked for a glass of Pinot Gris with ice and soda. Got charged $9.50. I thought the price was good but an hour later bought same again and got charged $12.50. Pathetic. Bar lady excused extra charge for a squirt of soda. No wonder I now go to RSA where I pay $7.50 for the exact same thing. Daylight robbery.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at Nellies Bar and Restaurant last Saturday, and it was fantastic! Organizing everything with Sylvie (apologies if I spell her name incorrectly) was so easy — she was kind and made the whole process stress-free. We were around 35 people, the food was delicious, the staff were amazing, and after dinner we even had a great dance in the function room. It was a truly unforgettable night — highly recommend!

Went to Nellies Wine Bar and Restaurant for a dinner with associates. First thing I noticed was the nice atmosphere. Warm and inviting and very spacious. Bathroom experience is not as great and feels like a separate building. Our table ordered the ribs, steak and fish. Ribs were average and let down by the sauce which tasted reheated and still under heat, making it look and taste almost like jelly which is disappointing. Steaks were great and can't really complain, though the medium rare was a bit far on the rare side. Service was decent but could be improved. Had to ask for napkins 3 times. More should be provided upon ordering finger food, and at the very least the staff should be attentive to the napkin and water situation of the tables when asking how the meal is. Would go back.

Didn't like what my salmon description on menu was, asked if I could have the what I wanted and NO problem really appreciated and enjoyed my meal. Don't be afraid to ask for what you like/ they will try and accommodate you

Quite pricey but food and drink was great. Plenty of park. Got told $20 cake surcharge if we bring our own cake. Too expensive. Recommended the food there.

Entree.... Although only 3 scallops the entree was a taste explosion. Delightfully described on the menu you couldn't help but order and I was not disappointed. Tastefully sprinkled with "bacon dust" it was all over too soon. Mains .....The chicken enchilada was a disappointment. A feature of an enchilada is the savory tomato sauce with chili, there was none of that... The meal tasted like dry chicken in pastry, nothing like an enchilada. Very off-putting. Ribeye steak with garlic butter with chips and salad. Presentation and flavour was lovely.

Not a bad place, bit of a let down in regards to caramelized onions were on the menu but chef literally wouldn't make them for me. Good steak though, wait was a bit long, one of our table of 4 had to wait an extra 10 minutes despite all meals being pretty much the same. The wait staff though we're great and appreciated a bit of back and forth banter. Too wish I could give them a 5 star review, but the chef dropped the ball.

This place is massive, has a fantastic restaurant menu but the bar menu is amazing too so you won't be disappointed if the restaurant is closed. We went on a Sunday night so restaurant was closed but bar menu included bangers and mash (pictured...apparently people dont like their mashed potato crumbed but it was devine!), steak meal, fish and chips, and schnitzel. Service was really good, friendly staff and the food came out really quickly. Has a really big garden area to sit, lots of big screens to watch the sports. Would definitely go back to try the restaurant menu.

Been here twice in the past month, & both times have had the lovely Jess as our waitress. She's very personable, courteous & efficient. Our party, both times, just wanted her to be acknowledged. She's a star. The food is pretty flavoursome, & there's a good variety for both mains & desserts. The salad accompaning is yum. There's portion options for some mels which is handy. Only negative is that their prices are a little more than what you'd expect for what is essentially a pub meal.
