The other council gyms we'd visited had just waved us through independently, which is totally fine, but Lilli went the extra mile, showing us all the equipment, group fitness areas and pools and gave us loads of useful information, which has very much convinced us to join. “Really beautiful swimming pool! It has a 25m pool, a 20m pool, a hot pool, and a kids' pool. So far, I’ve been there three weekends in a row, and each time I had an entire lane to myself. Such a great swimming experience! Also, the receptionist is super friendly!”

“Our family has been part of Harewood Road Montessori for almost 6 years, with our second child currently attending, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. The teachers are warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive to each child’s needs. It’s been wonderful to see how much care they put into helping little ones learn, grow, and gain confidence. Communication with parents is fantastic — we’re always kept up to date through chats, photos, and learning updates. They also take food allergies very seriously, which gives me real peace of mind. The preschool organises lots of fun themed days and cultural celebrations throughout the year. They even had a visit from a police officer recently with police car, and my little one was so excited to tell me all about it! We feel blessed to have found such a wonderful, nurturing place where our children truly thrive.”

“My daughter has been going to Swarm for a couple terms and loves it. The tutor team is supportive, talented, and genuinely care about what they do. They create such a warm, encouraging environment that my daughter looks forward to every class. It’s a great price for the level of quality and care the instructors provide. Being a teen my daughter has struggled with confidence but has grown so much in this because of Swarm. Highly recommend this studio to any parent!”

“Waka Huia is the most wonderful place, very child-centred and in a calm/ relaxed/ family environment. Different aged kids all play together, the big kids look out for the little ones, lots of tuakana-teina opportunities. The kaiako are awesome educators, highly experienced and genuinely loving and kind. My daughter has grown a lot under their gentle guidance. She loves the animals (chickens and visiting lambs), outside play year round, cups of tea, dress-ups and treasures (shells, wool) to play with.”

“We love this nursery because all the staff are super kind and caring. We immediately felt relaxed meeting the team for the first time (especially Linda), and knew our child would be safe here and that she’d have loads of fun! Thank you to her wonderful teachers Chantelle & Eloisa, and to Jess on reception :) highly recommend!”

“Both my boys attend Riccarton Kindercare and they love it! All teachers and staff members are warm and welcoming, it’s clear that they are passionate about their work and the children that attend the centre. We have noticed such a change in my eldest since attending Riccarton Kindercare, he has come out of his shell enormously and creating relationships with those around him. My 6 month old has settled so well and he is always smiling when we collect him. We have a warm hand over and the communication from teachers regarding needs/wants/learning is always amazing! Can’t recommend enough!”

“Fantastic golfing experience. Great layout. Fairways the best I’ve ever hit a ball off. The staff are a credit to your business. I wish I could remember your names individually as you’re an absolute credit to your employers. From the course Marshall who approached us to take pins out as we putted to apologising for the slowness as it was the members medal day. Which he didn’t have to do as I was thoroughly enjoying the day (again I’m hopeless with names but what a fantastic bloke who came and asked me in the clubhouse how my round went) Also the young proshop or manager who asked me how my day went as I sat for a beer. Great hospitality and I can’t wait to come back. 10/10 experience.”

“They have the regular bubble/iced teas on the menu, but they have a good selection of loose leaf tea for sale as well. I picked up a box of gaba oolong which I've only ever seen on taiwan-based online stores (usually very expensive), very reasonably priced as well.”
