The rent was always fair, with only the occasional small rent increase (which was low in comparison to other properties). They allowed me to have my dog, and I received a full bond refund upon moving out.”

“Very nice motor camp with a great vibe. Great value for money very tidy and clean facilities. I booked one night in the Tui caravan and 2 nights in one of the cabins. Loved the Comfortable beds in the caravan. Friendly helpful staff and very accommodating when my plans got messed around by Airnz. I Will definitely recommend and will stay there again if I’m down that way.”

“Just want to thank the lovely family who manage the Vita Nova Motel for a great stay. We landed at midnight and we were able to arrange a late checkin. The unit was really clean, bed was so comfortable, Netflix to chill out at night, had all the necessary amenities and great service. Daily house keeping was excellent, she was thorough and showed great attention to detail. Laundry facilities were useful. Location was great, central to everything. Would definitely stay again. “Great location as my son needed surgery at Southern Cross Hospital which was just down the road , easy check in and check out, rooms, bathroom very clean and due to location being on a main road I thought the traffic would keep us up but didn’t at all, also extra bonus it has 3 bedrooms so my son, myself and parents all got their own room. “A rare find! The view from the garden room is stunning, with the sound of the stream lulling you to sleep. Best ever linen. Very welcoming hosts. Really recommend a walk at nearby Harry Ell Track and a drive up to Sugarloaf Scenic Reserve if you’re visiting!”

“We got given our 90 day notice at the place we in now I looked on trademe and it had a place to rent near my brother's place, I rang Krystal the property manager and she made a viewing . Saw the house was perfect for my family , I applied the process was so easy, and fast and a day or 2 after got a ph call from her saying we got the house. The amount of stress that has lifted off my shoulders , especially in these times as it's very hard to find a house in Christchurch. So thank you from my daughter and partner we won't be homeless and now don't have to worry about moving .”

“Arrived in a monsoon and was soaked. Owner (David?) gave me a towel and fetched a bigger umbrella for me, so I could get to the supermarket without getting another soaking. He was so kind and thoughtful with a great sense of humour. I often saw him talking to the guests. The room was fabulous value for money. Big comfy bed, walk in wet room/shower with seat and handrail if needed. Little kitchen area with kettle, toaster, hob and microwave. Nice wardrobe and two bedside tables with drawers. Really cosy. Room was serviced everyday which I didn't expect either....really excellent service. It's about a 20-30min walk to shopping centre and botanical gardens etc. Buses run there too. Supermarket 5min walk away. I'll defo stay here again!!!!”

“It wasn’t just a hostel—it was my home. Over the past six months, I made so many wonderful memories with amazing people. Everyone was always kind, welcoming, supportive, and considerate. Karen keeps the place clean and cozy, provides organic eggs, and cares about how we’re doing. Antony shows up whenever we need him and can fix just about anything. Lucy, the staff member, is the friendliest and most amazing person! And I miss Pipi the cat so much. The location is great—15min walk to the CBD—and the environment is very safe. I feel so lucky to have spent such a valuable time at Chester St Backpackers!”

“Had a really good experience at Rydges Latimer Christchurch with my Lion group from Taiwan. I was struggling to find a place to park the coach, and Lama from the Front Office came out straight away to help. He showed me the possible parking spots and then personally guided my group through reception to the restaurant. Even though he was busy at the front desk, he still made sure everything went smoothly for us. We had dinner at Bloody Mary’s, and the restaurant was great. Everyone had steak booked, but since I don’t eat steak, they kindly arranged chicken for me. The food was really good and the whole team looked after us well. Big thanks to Lama and the staff at Rydges for making our visit easy and welcoming.”

“Such great customer service. They replaced our sheets, washed the dishes and left new towels for us every day. The communication was also clear and fast. Even though it is near a main road the traffic was light in the evenings and the rooms have double glazing, so I was able to get a great sleep. The heater was left on before we arrived so the room was nice and warm. Also really competitive pricing. Thanks!!!”
