“Travelled in end Sept / early Oct 2018 in their 4 berth campers and it ran like a dream. We rented the 2 berth from Affordable for the first time in 2016 and decided to upgrade this time round. Absolutely no regrets on that decision - the 4 berth camper had no issues at all and ran better than the camper booked (from one of the big name brands eg britz mighty etc) by our relatives we were traveling with. Lynda and the team were such friendly and welcoming people. Easy to get on with and very helpful in answering all our questions. “This place was more than a home away from home. A pool spa Bbq.. Owners were amazing. Breakfast included 4 different cereals fruit. Different food items in room. It was amazing beds were really comfortable. The room bathroom was so clean. I think this would have to be one of the cleanest places I have stayed at. Something for everyone. Playground out the back AAA+ best to just ring for bookings.”

They were prompt and reliable with airport pick-ups and were also very obliging with dropping us off at a family event. The motel rooms were large, light and airy, and very well equipped. We appreciated the space of the one bedroom unit. The gardens are immaculate and very colourful. We’ll be back!”

“Absolutely beautiful little retreat, the rooms are the perfect size for a couples getaway, the views are incredible and the best part was the hot tub at night with the stars and one of the best wines we have tasted. We feel refreshed and renewed. Lots of extra details that made this place such a gem, from Bluetooth connectivity throughout the room to the luxury bathroom and of course the super comfy bed. “Whilst attending my daughter's wedding celebrations, I booked three rooms, for three nights, for my family members travelling from Melbourne. I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts Frank and Jenny, who took us into and shared their home with us. The location is within walking distance of the village of Lyttleton and its services. Our hosts were attentive, friendly and supportive, but, not intrusive. Their rooms were a delight, comfortable, spacious and serviced daily, unless one signed that it was not necessary. Ensuites, heated towel racks, room heaters ensured a comfortable stay. The views over Lyttleton Harbour are breathtaking, complemented by the external open patio, complete with outdoor furniture and barbecue for guests to relax and enjoy. Complimentary cereals, yogurts, fruit, tea and coffees ensure a relaxing start to the day. Frank and Jenny are approachable, friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay and commend you to them when next you visit Christchurch or Lyttleton areas.”

“After a 9 hour flight and a night stay in Auckland, we were pleasantly surprised at our accommodations at Sumner Re Treat. We were greeted by Chris and she escorted us to our room. It was not only spotless, but very attractively decorated. Our accommodations came with all the necessary amenities, the decor was contemporary, and the location was excellent. There were numerous eateries within walking distance. Best of all, it was a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend Sumner Retreat if you plan on visiting Christchurch and want to get away from the City Centre.”

“We are so glad we’ve found Eyrewell Kennels! It was the first time we’ve had our 6 month old puppy Taika stay in a kennel. From the moment of initial contact they put our mind at ease with what to expect and once arriving you could see immediately what a great facility it is. Huge outdoor grass areas with separate section’s for different dogs and very clean indoor kennels with air conditioning. Taika loved his stay and will happily be booking future use at Eyrewell. “First time using shadow estate and it had come personally recommended to us. After doing our due diligence and reading the reviews we went ahead. Our girls can be a bit anxious and nervous with new people and places. That wasn’t problem here. Karly clearly understands dogs so well and is lovely to talk too. Upon collecting our girls it was like they hadn’t even stayed away, there dementia was calm and relaxed. Thanks again and we will be back. Highly recommend.”

“I can not recommend Cheryl high enough, we had our 3 babies with her over Christmas just been (2023) for a week. Due to no fault of her own (our vet being lazy) our 11 month old kitten fell very ill, Cheryl went above and beyond and did everything she could for our precious peach. If you want to take your cats to someone who cares, you can’t get any better than Cheryl at 4 paws”

“Good day, from the moment we arrived we were impressed by the professional attitude and service. We received a detailed briefing on the motorhome, help on the road etc, that invoked a positive feeling of confidence in us. The 7.4m vehicle was a pleasure to drive with more than adequate power. We did feel that a holder for a Tablet would be a useful extra! Every thing in the motorhome was very functional, although the double bed was tricky to make up. A few lengths of cord to stop items in the baggage compartment sliding around would be useful, as well as wheel wedges to level the motorhome, as most camp sites where we stayed were not level. On the whole a great experience though. We are missing our motorised of three weeks duration already! Best regards, thanks, Philip and Shirley”
