   I’ve had a wonderful experience renting through Vic Liwanag our property manager. They have been incredibly accommodating and easy to communicate with from day one. Any questions or maintenance requests were handled quickly and professionally. It’s rare to find a property manager who is both responsive and genuinely cares about their tenants’ comfort — and Vic truly does. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth and stress-free renting experience.

   I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent experience with First National, as I believe there are serious issues with communication and internal coordination that have negatively affected me. I vacated my flat in July, having completed all requirements on my end to be removed from the lease. I assumed this had been processed. However, at the end of October, I discovered I was still listed on the lease because certain steps were not completed by the new tenant. I received no communication or follow-up and was unaware I remained legally attached to the tenancy. This caused significant issues when I applied for a new property and was declined based on a poor reference from First National. When I contacted my former property manager, I was told the reference was an error, that the team had “no idea” I no longer lived there, and that it would be corrected. After being transferred to another staff member, Andrew, I was told dismissively, “Why would I give a different reference?” Such inconsistency between staff in the same office demonstrates poor communication and professionalism. I was later told the negative reference was due to the property’s condition, which had reportedly not been satisfactory since the start of the year. However, when I lived there, the flat failed healthy-homes standards with mould and cleanliness issues on arrival. Despite that, my flatmates and I maintained it to a high standard - arguably better than it had been for the previous two years, according to the previous tenants. It is unreasonable that I received a negative reference for conditions or payment issues that occurred after I vacated. Ongoing communication problems, such as unresolved maintenance and missed bin collections, indicate wider issues within the property management team which suggests a broader issue with communication and responsiveness within The First National Progressive Team.

   I feel huge peace of mind that my family home is being well looked after while we are living overseas. I know I’ll be kept updated with anything I need to know and my Property Manager, Cam, keeps me informed when I need to be and provides options for how I could proceed when decisions need to be made. They actually perform the inspections (unlike other agencies I have used) and to an incredibly detailed and documented standard. Even if I lived nearby I would likely still use progressive as they take all of the stress and worry away! Thanks team!

James is down to earth and has your best interest in mind, I never felt pushed into anything and both positive and negatives were explained before I made a decision.    Karen and Sue were a pleasure to work with on the sale of my property in Avonhead. They are genuinely likable people who supported me through the process of a successful sale which achieved my ideal asking price in just over a month. They kept me up to date on prospective buyers and I know it was their friendly persistence in following these up that achieved a sale a couple of days after the deadline sale date had passed. My sister bought a home they were marketing and also gave the same feedback from a buyer's perspective. I would highly recommend their services for sales of properties across all price points.
