   My husband has spent nearly 2yrs and 2 Christmases in the hospital away from family so I was determined to find him a gift that would boost his spirits and mental well being His favourite thing is to cook outdoors As a paraplegic it has been difficult to find equipment due to height restrictions We were ecstatic when we found the 2 in 1 St Louis BBQ/smoker online in Albany We paid the asking price set collection time for the next day receipt in hand organised the outing with the ward doctors and nurses and drove to Oteha Valley to collect our purchase Upon arrival filled with excitement and expectation I eagerly transferred my husband into his wheelchair and headed to the desk only to be met with...we have it in stock but we cannot locate it in the store we don't know where it is NO BBQ/SMOKER! Words cannot express the disbelief, disappointment, frustration and feeling of sheer and utter failure I felt What should have been a surprise and joyful outing left us deflated and me full of tears I am still waiting for a refund for a gift I paid for and never received...because Mitre 10 Mega Albany cannot fulfil their obligation. NOTE...You cannot post a review if you do not give a star rating.

   One of the bigger Mitre 10 stores in town with lots on offer. Good selection of outdoor furniture and BBQs on display. Always good to actually see something before spending all that money. A nice Columbus Cafe on site too

Kamal was extremely helpful, always smiling, and answered all my questions with great patience and professionalism. She truly went above and beyond to make sure I found what I needed.    Great parking. Friendly and helpful staff . Also a very good store layout a selection of hardware . Easy to enter and exit both store and car park. For those who want refreshments a really nice cafe too set amongst the garden centre section. Willing staff to help carry out heavy items to your vehicle. Worth a visit.

   Guy at the carpet section was a total chump and wasted 20mins of our time ignoring us, didn't acknowledge us when we were waiting to confirm a simple 5min query. Would not shop here again for carpets cause of this. Super ticked off to be honest.

   Shocking customer service. Called the Warkworth store to ask if they had a product in store, was told yes so I drove to Warkworth to find out it wasn’t. Called Albany instead and explained the experience at Warkworth and specifically said if I drive all the way to Albany will I have the same situation, the lady on the phone assured me they have the product. I was now at home and drove all the way out to Albany to find out they did not, and haven’t had the product for years!! When I asked for some compensation, maybe a discount on my next purchase for the complete waste of time and petrol I was told no. I was also told a manager would contact me and surprise, they never did. Absolutely appalling and an unfair waste of time and petrol.

   Came in here for a heater and had the most EXCEPTIONAL service from Lily in the Heating department. She listened to us thoroughly, and asked detailed questions about the room size etc. to determine if we were buying the right heater. We walked away with a completely different heater to the one we originally went in for. Super impressed.
