   Herald "Island".... A lovely, peaceful spot to visit & enjoy a quiet sunset walk! Even on a chilly winter evening! A short, tree lined, pretty walk from the park to the pier! Just listening to the birdsong & the gentle lapping of the water! ♡ Sunset is beautiful & to be enjoyed, from any place in the world!    What a beautiful park with calm water! My partner and I visited because we had always wanted to explore Herald Island. We were pleasantly surprised by its quiet, clean, and family-friendly vibe. Many locals bring their dogs and kids to enjoy the sunny weather. There are several beautiful photo spots where we enjoyed taking pictures. The park is very well maintained and lovely - it’s clear why it’s called Christmas Beach, as it made us quite happy. We enjoyed coffee and croissants we brought for afternoon tea while taking in the beautiful views of the sky, clouds, and water. This place created a wonderful memory for us. Public toilet, BBQ table, and wood-made playground are available here, well maintained by Auckland Council.

   Love love love this little gem of a place on herald island, there is only one way in and one way out so it's not possible to get lost, enjoyed the walk and our dog just loves it there there's playground access for the kids as well as free bbq area so is a lovely place for a afternoon picnic

   Quiet beach with great views. Not a white sand beach. And in low tide can look ugly. But its peaceful, has no crowds and has a BBQ. Great for quality time with the family
