I love this place! The closest experience I've had since returning from India. Lots of vegan options, very friendly staff, and very affordable, especially their $13 lunch special. Will keep returning!

Have used Handi about 4 times now. Tonight 2 butter chicken and one lamb mango. All really good. Just be safe I asked for NZ spicy which was great but next time I'll prob go for their hot as I think it would be fine for me. Def would continue to use Handi as our go to indian takeaway. Look forward to trying other dishes.
One of the best Indian cuisine restaurant in Auckland. Their hand made naan bread is the BEST!, must try. Customer friendly staff. Cheers to Balwant.
Just moved to the area and tried the butter chicken last night. The flavour was amazing and there is so much chicken in the sauce! Cant wait to try more off the menu. Got 2x mild and 1x medium - the medium wasn't as warm as other I have tried. But still very tasty! Staff are super friendly! Price is excellent.
A new fav place for Indian food. Large variety of dishes to select from. Taste is really good. Only tried the Naan bread and butter chicken. But I was impressed with the flavor, chicken in the dish and portion size. For $40 for 2 main dishes, 2 Naan beads, and 2 can drinks, it was really good value. Doubt other places in the local area will be able to match that price Service was friendly and welcoming Will def use this takeaway again
Handi has become our go-to Indian takeaway on the Shore. The food is always authentic in terms of its Indian flavours, well-spiced & extremely tasty. The portions are generous & the service (in-house & delivery) is excellent. Highly recommended!
Ordered via Uber eats; their Indian food is amazing but the indo Chinese is disgusting. One of the best paneer tikkas I’ve had on the shore & their butter paneer was decent but the chicken 65 was very disappointing as it wasn’t anything like chicken 65. Wrong spices, no curry leaves or green chilli or chopped ginger and garlic and the veg schezwan fried rice clearly had no actual flavour of how it should be, just red spicy rice with frozen vegetables that you get in the super market ie the corn, peas & carrot combo; absolutely disgusting. My advice:please YouTube recipes or there’s too many Indians around from the southern part of the country that will tell you how chicken 65 should be.
We have had Handi quite a few times now and it is consistently good, the combos are great value and it seems to be our 2 year olds favourite take away, we even got it as her birthday dinner, haha. Highly recommended Handi, we have tried most of the other local Indian take aways and Handi is by far the best one.
Butter chicken was devine - nice depth of flavour and not too sweet. We also had the goat curry which was interesting and authentic. So many choices and stagg were very polite.
